Hello everyone,
I am a new beader (my 10-year old and myself) and we want to start making jewelry as gifts for Christmas. I love southwest style jewelry and I was wondering if you had any ideas or sites you could recommend for patterns and/or ideas for patterns. Any help would be appreciated. I found a Kokopelli glass pendant that I would love to turn into a necklace for my mother.

Try a round gourd stitch in two colors of seed beads. Properly chosen the beads should do well with the pendant, even though they are from two different American Indian cultures -- even they mix and match their beadwork today.
