I fell at work Tuesday and mangled my right wrist and knee up pretty bad.
Brace on wrist for at least 2 weeks...maybe more. NO BEADS :(
(and since this is my dominant hand, nothing much of anything else either)
Sigh.

So sorry to hear about your fall....hope it''s not too frustrating during the next couple of weeks recovery. I know it probably will be. Maybe you can spend the time creating ideas mentally instead of actually making jewelry. Imagine all the ideas you could have ready for when you're healed !!!!!!

Oh bummer! Yeah, maybe you can think about ideas. Or what about organizing your bead stash? Good thoughts to you!

Sorry to hear about your spill.
Hope you heal quickly.
Since you can't bead you could always use this as a chance to go through your stash and come up with new color ideas. That way you still get to play with your beads and you won't have beady withdrawls.
Get better soon.

When we say "catch a break" that's not exactly what we had in mind.

Since you live in the Rainy Pacific NW - i hope you filed a Labor & Industries claim.
Hope you heal fast and heal well.
Might be a good time to read any beading books that you've been interested in exploring. I hope you heal well and quickly.

Oh! no! so sorry. I send you Healing Prayers.
If you have a tape recorder, you could talk about the "Idea's that you find running around in your mind"(Always the most ideas come when I can't draw them out) ( I have tried to draw with my left hand, but not jewelry ideas)
Maybe you could get books on CD and read some good books. I love books on CD.(Libraries in my travels have a good selection)

I went back to work on Friday....I still have excruciating pain when I try to flex my fingers..and the brusing on my hand is just now starting to fade.
I was going nuts trying to figure out what I could get away with as far as beading goes... and had a moment. I have a bunch of vintage cabochons needing to be glued into bezels. I can glue things to other things reasonably well with a brace on (who knew?). I ran out of bezels so I am waiting for reenforcements.
I have read A TON of books on my Kindle....how I love my Kindle...but it's not beads lol.
I just hate being so helpless (can't tie shoes, can't button shirts, wash my hair, fold the laundry etc etc etc)
Christina, so sorry to hear about your fall and injuries
I hope you are feeling better real soon. I am sending you good thoughts and prayers for a speedy healing.

sorry to hear about your wrist...I think I'd go a little crazy too not being able to do what I wanted...I'd probably learn to bead with my other hand I guess.
