HI,
I would like to make a necklace with three coils in the middle. What size wire do I buy to flatten into the coils. I would like them to be about 1/2 inch wide. thanks, Joyce
I would try 22 gauge.

I would use 18 Gauge. I tend to pulverize anything smaller, LOL. Here is an example of my own hammering using coils in an 18 gauge.
Shippensburg Pennsylvania - about 30 minutes from Gettysburg
How pretty................ thank you.
Those look so pretty Ruth. Nice work
If I intend to really flatten it I will use either a 18 or 20 gauge anything smaller for my hammering will only get bridle and break. I also tend to have a very heavy hand with hammer.
Happy Beading!!
