I have seen this done in different sizes of beads and different colors and it looks so different .

Hallo Katrien!

I know, but for me it's fun to learn other languages. And, as I found out again last night, a lot of people really like it when you've taken the time to learn their language. You probably saw my post about running into the Russian lady. It gives me so much pleasure to make someone else happy, even if it's just speaking a few words to them in their own language. I know this is a English speaking forum, but still.....it's fun to maybe make things a little bit easier for someone to whom English might not come so easy to. Plus I'm a sponge when it comes to learning! I just soak it right up! So As I'm going along I may throw some Dutch or French in there for your entertainment, every so often. Just hope I don't start in one language and finish in another; I've been known to do that!

If you're not married, you would be 'juffrouw Val', otherwise it is 'mevrouw Val'. And yes, the 'j' is pronounced like the 'y' in you. It's fun to see that someone wants to learn the language, but for me it's not really necessary to be talked to in Dutch, I knew this was an english speaking forum when I subscribed . And it gives me a good opportunity too to practice my english. But go on if you like it!

Katrien, I like your anemone bracelet very much, very rich looking. We did a similar one here in a class, but a bit easier as it had a 1" lampwork bead strung in the center of the initial string of beads. Then when adding anemones across it, it only filled up to the lampwork and then continued on the other side. Our instructor suggested longer "legs" on the anemones and we put tiny lucite flowers and drops onto the ends. So it wiggles a bit, maybe more like some other sea creature. But I like your version of it a lot, and I'm glad the recipient loved it too. Donna

Ahhhhhh! It's a secret! But it's fun learning! Nope, don't know Danish...yet. I speak Russian, some French, a little German, a little Ashanti and Swahili, and now I'm learning Dutch! Cool, huh? It's only fair I learn your language.

Hoe gaat het met je? What's gone into you lately, Val? Who's teaching you all this Dutch? English friends of mine always refer to Dutch as Hurdey Gurdey language but I think that's more like Danish. Do you speak Danish as well?

For the ring I used a button http://www.bricolart.com/index.php/fr/perles/perles-en-bois/perles-en-bois-brut/perle-bois-cabochon-rond-20-mm-bois-brut.html which I surrounded with beads and glued onto a metal ring.

Love it - it's perfect and the colour is gorgeous. Like the ring as well. What is the "technique" you refer to as I can't tell how it is made and would like to try something similar. Lucky colleague!

Did she get it allready and liked hopefully so much?

How did you make that ring, or how did you attach it? like surrounding a bezel? i can just guess, havent tryed something like that yet.

It reminds me of ice skating on a frozen pond in winter; so pretty cool!(no pun intended, lol) Ik ben Nederlens, nu leren! How was that?(g) Karin will probably appreciate it, too! I've noticed Dutch is somewhat similar to German. In German, "I" is "Ich."

I've done this stitch twice now 1 bracelet and a pair of earrings. The first time I swore I'd never do it again! But as time passed I got an idea to do some earrings. So, I guess the saying never say never is true 'cause I went ahead and did it again. But I don't think I'll be repeating it anytime soon.*L*

I'm sure your she'll love it. You did a beautiful job.
