The book just went to the printers yesterday! I saw a proof copy a couple of days ago and it's looking really good, so I can't wait to get the actual books at the end of next week. Then I just need to sell them...! Very exciting!

Katie,

Good news! I not only managed to do some beading, I just finished this awesome pearl and emerald Art Deco necklace! I had a couple false starts with it, then it really took off and turned out better than I hoped it would! I'm going to have my mom photograph me wearing it and post it in the Showcase. I'm so delighted with it. Very "Great Gatsby"-looking. Now just need to make a pair of earrings to complement it. You can probably feel my excitement!

Hello Katie,

just ordered your book, i so can't wait to bake myself some of your yummy masterpieces!!!! Looked a bit at your blog as well and now i am getting nosy what you are doing with this cute buttons, i am a fan and button collector, but not got enough ideas for them yet, most time i just use them as preety necklace closings. I will come back and find out :D.

The cake book looked very tempting at me too, but that got to wait a bit, i hope you got some more in stock ;).

Hey, Katie!

Well, you know how the old saying goes, "six of one, half dozen of the other." I drink like a fish, anyway, because one of my pain meds really dries me out, so that's never an issue.(lol) Hopefully the new potassium med will level things off. No, i'm not delighted at the thoght of yet another surgery, but if I can regain full use of my thumb? I guess I'll put up with it.

I hope you are feeling better. I'm in a beady mood, so I think as soon as I'm done with my correspondence I'll go create!

Val, I'm so sorry your kidneys are playing up as well now. Rest lots, drink lots and I'll send you some good health vibes, so hope you can make it to Virginia. It sounds like good news about your thumb though - the idea of more surgery isn't great, but if it helps, it's gotta be good.
