Because I am still new at beading with wire, a lot of the time I just use silver plated artistic wire which is non tarnish, but I'm finding that when I ratchet my wire spirals with my round nose or chain nose pliers, the silver color on the wire begins to chip off and leaves a copper color which makes the earring look cheap and rusty. I find that this happens with all silver plated wires when working with my tools. I suppose I could by sterling silver wire but I am not confident enough to use it without having to waste it and its expensive and I'm not even sure if it will also get damaged when using my tools and working to manipulate the wire. Does anyone have any suggestions? Cushioned chain nose pliers even crossed my imagination but I don't think such a thing exists.

Thanks!

Would you please tell me how to find a picture someone posted, or maybe a list of their posts? I have seen some great pics of stashes, storage ideas, etc, but couldn't find them later (these wouldn't be in the gallery....I don't think). Do I need to write the name and forum date? I want so much to show a beading friend the "beading room" that spilled into the dining room, but can't remember the poster's name or where it was. I spend way to much time at work looking for this stuff (even tho' it's a nice break occasionally).

Thanks in advance!

I'm new here and not sure what the protocols are so I hope someone can remove the post and poster as soon as possible. I haven't even mentioned that the avatar is an almost naked woman.

The name of the poster is Curiousboner - "Ma'am, I've been surfin around all over the web and somehow I ended up lookin at this bracelet. And then I saw you, you seem like a very nice lady and then the most tedious thought came to mind and I got to the point that I'm just gonna go for a leap here and ask a stranger a strange question.

What do you regularly think about during the day?"

Sorry if I've gone about this in the wrong way but I'm going to plead ignorance.

Since yesterday I can't post new things in the Readers Photo Gallery. I'm not the only one. There are 3 other blank pictures. What going wrong?

Members, we have a new spammer. She has only just started posting today. and already she has spammed three different threads. Her name is Stephanie Harris. please help with reporting her before she gets carried away.

Following her first post I wrote and explained to her, that her spamming wasn't allowed. I was even real nice about informing her that it wasn't allowed, on the third warning however, I wasn't as nice. Told her to refrain from this type of posting or stand to be blackballed from the site.

Help keep spammers away!!! PLEASE HELP REPORT SPAMMERS. YOU ALL RECOGNIZE THEIR TYPE OF POSTS, usually an old post, usually has nothing to do with the original post, or just plain gibberish, but they all have at least one hyperlink in their post to their web site.

The hyper link is not a tutorial, or a pattern, it is almost always a bead or jewelry store, however we have even had shoes, medicine and many other non related sites. Even with their what I call gag order, still some get through.
