I HAD RECENTLY LOST MY MOM WHO WAS A VERY SPECIAL WOMAN IN MY LIFE AND THIS STORY CAME FROM THE WONDERFUL SPECIAL RELATIONSHIP WE SHARED AND I JUST NEEDED TO TAKE MY PASSION OF WORKING ON LOOMS AND FIND A BEAUTIFUL WAY TO CREATE THIS DEDICATION TO HER OUT OF DELICA BEADS

THIS IS MOTHERS PEACOCK A BEADED TAPESTRY USING OVER 23,550 DELICA 11-0 BEADS AND TOOK ME OVER 10 MONTHS TO COMPLETE

I MADE A PROMISE TO MYSELF THAT ON MOM FIRST BIRTHDAY WITHOUT HER WITH US ID HAVE THIS AMAZING PIECE COMPLETED SO IT COULD BE HUNG IN HER HONOR

THE BEAUTY OF THIS BEAUTIFUL CROSS STITCH PATTERN DESIGNED BY JOAN ELLIOT JUST CAUGHT MY EYE AND I JUST KNEW ITS BEAUTY WAS PERFECT I COULD CONVERT ALL THE DMC COLORS OVER TO DELICA'S AND WOW THATS ALL I KNEW THIS WAS IT ....

ITS BEAUTY REMINDED ME OF HER INNER AND OUTER BEAUTY AND I STARTED ON A CRUISE SHIP WHEN HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE FROM THAT POINT ON STOOD THEN IN ORE AND WANTED TO KNOW WHO WAS THIS LADY BEADING THIS BEAUTIFUL PEACOCK IN HONOR OF HER LATE MOM

SINCE THAT CRUISE PANERA BREADS HAS ALLOWED ME TO CONTINUE ON MY BEADING JOURNEY AND WORK IN THEIR CAFES

SINCE THEN IVE BEEN IN A MAJOR LOCAL PAPER, A HUGE BEADING MAGAZINE AND NOW MY STORY WILL BE IN THE DECEMBER ISSUE OF BEAD & BUTTON MAGAZINE ITS BEEN UNBELIEVABLE

Though I am not really new here, I have not been active for awhile.

Jewelry has always been a love of mine, the bigger the earring the better. About 17 years ago I was introduced to jewelry making and I fell in love!

Recently I decided to pursue increasing the sales of my creations. In the past I have sold my jewelry, but in the more recent years my jewelry has been given as gifts.

Our town is having an annual festival in a few weeks. This will be my first year as a vendor and I am so excited!

In our recent move, although my Marudai is present and accounted for, the weighted tama bobbins and my bag of fishing weights have taken a side trip--I expect I WILL find them again, so I don't want to replace them, as they're pricey; I've gerry-rigged an alternative using large nuts and bolts from the hardware store (they're bobbin-shaped!) --they weigh about 2 oz each--I used 50% of that weight for the center counter-weight, but the braid isn't as tight as braids I did with my original set. Looking for advice from any Kumihimo whizzes out there--do I need to increase overall weight for a tighter braid, i.e. heavier bolts and corresponding center weight---does anyone know what the standard weight for the tama-bobbins should be? I was working with size 6 beads and C-lon cord, so the rope is pretty substantial--it''s OK, but floppier than my other braids have turned out...Hoping this community can offer some insight

I am a floral designer and antique dealer that bought a bag of old beads at an antique show and caught the Bead Disease!! I am not even sure I want to get well. I am having so much fun mixing the old with the new but my creations keep falling apart.... I have started to take a few classes but would love to take more. If beading and jewelry making was any more fun it would be illegal!!

years and years ago i got an interest in bead working after buying some assorted Indian glass beads, the little turquoise ones and no two are alike in shape, anyway this is just a few ive found in the basement here. then i had this really cheep loom and made a few hat bands and some odds and ends stuff, wouldent mind starting up again using a better loom or beading tools.

Hi all - My name is Mike. I took up beading about a year and a half ago as something different for a creative outlet. I mostly have designed and made pieces as I have time; I enjoy it (though I've probably spent far too much on tools and beads) and have been having a lot of fun. I haven't really felt the need (or had the time) to take classes, learning pretty much by trial and error (and by watching a lot of YouTube videos!).

I've actually sold a few of my memory wire-based pieces to friends, but would like to branch out to maybe offering some work online, if I can perfect my techniques a bit. I thought it would be great to connect with some of other beaders, both novice and experienced, to and see how they got started and what they're doing, and get some good advice.

Of course I got the answer to my question. So I was pleasantly surprised because I didn't know such a site existed and I immediately signed up. I'm mainly a glass artist but I love beads and chainmaille as well.

Hi all. My name is Susan, and I have over 28 years experience in the arts and crafts industry... as such I have taught a lot of people how to do many crafts I have never done. I theory, I know how to do beadwork, (and have actually finished a few small projects.) but since my family closed our store seven years ago I have become a little out of touch on what products are available.

I am just getting back into doing crafts, and have a lot of glass beads and seed beads, so I decided to start with what I have. So far, I am just having a lot of fun, but now it is time to really learn some more advanced techniques.

I'm Jemma, i've recently started spending more time on the crafty things that I never got time for during uni. After making some gifts and cards for friend's birthdays it was suggested i should open a shop- haha!

My name is Amanda. I have been beading for over 10 years! I just recently had my first book published! It is called 100 Beaded Flowers, Trinkets, and Charms. I mostly work with seed beads, but I love playing around with all sorts of materials and techniques - polymer clay, resin, gemstones, paper, glitter, or anything else that looks like it should be turned into a lovely piece of jewelry!

My husband and I just moved to Texas a few weeks ago! We've been traveling quite a bit over the past year, and I am ready to settle down and get my crafty supplies back out!!
