That's fine Dagi. I asked the intern how it was going and she said Leslie took it over. I still need to email her and see if it's going to be very long. If it is I may just do it myself because I'm tired of waiting too.

Jeni, is there anything new about the gallery? Or when it will be published? I just wanted to say that I started posting my things on my blog. Sad that it takes so long. The BD staff could have said that they can't or don't want to do.

Yes, I have a .mac acct. I did contemplate starting up a website and putting the swap pieces there, but I figured since this was partly based on the Beadwork magazine challenge it might be neat to have a gallery, and then more people besides the forum regulars might see it as well.

I may still do that for upcoming challenges, since I don't think the BD powers that be will want to do this for all of them.

Do you have a .Mac account? Couldn't you create an album there, or better yet, just set up a new - free - flickr account for the swaps and upload them there, and just post a link to the album.

Not sure exactly but since I may still be on vacation I'll spill the beans. I had arranged with Michelle M. before she left to create a gallery of everyone's challenge pieces. I was waiting until the last possible moment for everyone to get photos in, and I sent everything to the intern who's going to work on it for us yesterday. I asked her if she got it done while I was away to post in the forums or have Leslie post that it was up.

That said, since several people either couldn't get photos to me or weren't able to get projects made, I'd say we should either continue this thread or start a "reveal" thread for the extras. Either one is fine with me.

Lol...inca, your gonna crack up. I wasn't very familiar with Tohos - been buying them for years but my LBS repackages them so you don't see the name. Anyway, for YEARS I called them "TAH-HOS" - LOL!!!! I didn't know any different until I called Michaels one day to see if they had a certain color in stock and the lady corrected me. I felt like a blooming idiot. LOL!!!

Which store Inca? Are you talking about JoAnn Fabrics or one of the online stores? Most of them will ship to a different address, I've done it several times using my Mom's card number and shipped it to myself.

IF you were talking about JoAnn Fabrics, well I can physically go to the store for you if you need me to. There is one less than a mile from me.

I dont know why I just fell in love with that blue wire - but my mind is picturing a project that need more than the bit I got ...

and Ill check out Parawire - the next time Jani lets me buy anything.

Since I been sick he kinda pittied me a bit this month - and I got to order some Toho's and a few books on Amazon ... So I guess its snowing before he lets me talk him into more "shopping".

I believe it is 20g wire. Inca, you might look up Parawire. They have that color blue and it's $5.50 for a 75 foot spool (22.86m). It's good quality wire, and while the color can rub off like any coated copper wire, it's pretty durable if you're careful. I couldn't tell from their site how their shipping is though.

Worst case scenario, I haven't used my wire yet so I can always send it to you if want-I have other wire in that color.

We ended up not being to fond of FMG ... they have a high shipping cost ... and then FedEx adding about the same once more for their "problems" ... kinda Sucks!...
and the Zebra wire - MEH!... I tried that and the color is "dull" and it flakes off so easy its not even fun ... (zebra wire was what I ended up with for "practicing" wrapping) ... and I have cut up everything so far cause I cant get it to look ok and the color "breaks" ...

Inca I actually bought that spool of wire from JoAnn Fabrics, a craft store here in the US, but I know FMG carries the colored wire. I think they call it Zebra Wire.
