Updated July 2011

If you would like to update your email address you may log in at our member website(s) noted below.

Once you are logged in, click on the “Edit Profile” button next to your user name at the top of the screen. Then under Edit Profile there are three tabs, the middle one is Site Options. Scroll half way down the page to Email Configurations. Under “Private Email” make the update to your email address. Be sure to scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the “Save” button.

You only need to update your email on one site and all currently subscribed email newsletters will be automatically updated.

If you want to update which email newsletters you receive, choose :Email Newsletter Preferences (on the same page as above) and click on the link for Email Preference Center. Once you are on the prefernce center, each free email newsletter has a subscribe/unsubscribe button. Click on the button to toggle your subscription off or on. The change is immediate, but may take up to 2 business days to show up in your email inbox.

Light green-Subscribe = Unsubscribed

This update does not change your Interweave Store account log in. You will need to update the Interweave Store account separately at www.interweavestore.com .

If you want to update the email address that everyone "sees" on your profile, use the first tab "Profile Options" and change the Public address.

I know beaders who raise money for breast cancer research, help women in poor countries support their villages, use beading to get through rough times, and donate their work to auctions, like the winners of the heart category in our Bead Star contest and magazine did for the AHA.

Send an email with a brief mention of the beader, what they do and who benefits, along with a photo of a piece of their work or of them AT work for their cause, if possible, to: bdintern@beadingdaily.com

Please put --Better world-- in the subject line.

Thanks! Due by 3.5.

awkward situation that seemed to create confusion as to how Beading
Daily is run. I'd like to clarify what Beading Daily’s purpose is and
share how we can all be a part of the site with more awareness for
everyone's position. To help do this we’ve created some Community
Guidelines for our site. They can be found under the Community Center forums.

The site is here primarily for
education and sharing, both good things and hard things. When it comes
to sharing hard things, its best to keep the post as respectful as
possible, even if you're fuming. The atmosphere here needs to be as
open as possible, so that everyone can be heard for their advice,
position and concerns. However, emotional posting puts us all in a
hard place, and Beading Daily reserves the right to remove content that
can be damaging to the whole site and our community. Please read the
new Guidelines that I've created as these are also part of our Terms of
Use for using the Beading Daily website. If you have further questions or
concerns about this, let us know.

permitted forum topics

Greetings!

There's a need for some reminders about proper use of our forums and posts.

1. No advertising. No selling your jewelry, inventions, tools, etc. We sell ad space for that.

2. No dissing indiscriminately or LOUDLY. Complaints about products should be directed to those manufacturers first. You'd be surprised how receptive they are! Product comparisons and reviews are welcome in a civilized manner, in civilized language.

Thanks!

Comcast Email Issues

Hello,

Comcast recently begain blocking several larger
emailers, including Interweave (and as a result, Beading Daily). We
are working with them to resolve the situation, and appreciate your
patience in this matter.

Howdy all,

Some folks have been having problems not getting their email newsletters. If you can log into the site, you are registered, but you've unsubscribed from the emails.

We use a separate email system to send our newsletters. To resubscribe, you can either:

1) find an old email and click on the bottom where it says "Manage your Beading Daily account"
or
2)
Click on your name (not the word edit) on the top right hand side of the screen (above the
search bar) and click on the "edit my email subscriptions". This will
take you to our email system. Follow the instructions provided.

If
you click on the "edit" NEXT to your name and select "Receive emails"
THIS IS DIFFERENT! This setting allows you to receive emails from other
folks and system admins from Beading Daily and does not affect your
email subscription.

Hope that helps!

Kat

Another issue may be your email service.
There have been a few
email providers that inadvertantly marked us as spam, and we are
working with them to get us unblocked. If you continue to have
problems, please send your email address to beadingdaily@interweave.com so we can diagnose the problem, and see if
it is one of the overprotective ISPs

Thanks for your patience, folks!
