Hi everyone,  I'm Cas.  I'm a sole parent to one teen boy, a springer spaniel dog (male too) and a black cat.  My interests cover chain maille predominantly, wire work and I've just been enveigled back into the world of beads after a few years break.  Oh, I'm an Australian living in Southern Queensland on the famous Gold Coast (near Surfers Paradise).  I look forward to chatting to you all.  My business side of jewellery is plated chain maille rings and kits but information and help is always free. Smile

Hi back! I'm Lori from south-eastern Canada (Toronto area). I'm a needle-worker turned beader, have been involved for about 5 years now. My focus is on beadweaving and stringing, and I enjoy COLOR!! especially~and making bracelets and fun stuff as charitable fundraisers for a foundation I volunteer for.

Looking forward to chatting with everyone!

Welcome, to a fun place. I was not sure What BD was all about. I have found it a very caring group on folks, on everything from sharing Daily Challenges to Beading Challenges.

Come join in, and share some of your photos of your Craft. I want to learn Wire Wrapping and chain maille, but, I have so far only made things that turned to scrap.(lucky I could resell it and get more silver to work with). I am now useing wire from the Hardware store. Les costly to scrap.:)

I'll look for your post, Mary

Hi Cas -

Welcome to the BD forums.  It's always great to see new members from (to me) far away places.

Jump right in - we're a friendly group.

Gramma, we are hopefully going to move this question for you into the Where Can I Find forum http://www.beadingdaily.com/forums/6.aspx   as more people will see it there than they will here.

We would love to have you stay with us for awhile, as I said, and post your own introduction here  http://www.beadingdaily.com/forums/p/840/37307.aspx#37307  Lots of people will find your post and you will be welcomed very nicely!

Cas- Welcome! I have a son who is 18 and will be moving to college in less than 2 weeks now. WOW!

Anyway...glad that you found us. There are others that do chain maille and others that do wirework. I do simple stringing myself. Hope that you come back and chat often!

Have a great day!
