New Poster Beadwoven earrings.

 I have posted a few posts, but have never officially had the courage to say hello! So Hi everybody. I have lurked on these boards for a while and learned a lot of new things, especially how nice everyone here is.

I have just started dabbling in beadwork and have found that I LOVE it. Here is a pair that I did tonight with leftover beads from all my other stringing projects that I adapted from an article in Beadwork.

Hi Ruthie....welcome....you are right about this being a nice place to hang out...very friendly and very helpful....for someone just dabbling you made a neat job of the earrings...well done....you are now officially HOOKED...(oh.. a pun..lol)... join in often and post more pics....always enjoy seeing other peoples work.

 Thanks everyone!  I have been stringing and have done wirework for a while, but I have always loved the look of beadwork. Maybe I will add some more pics from the necklaces that the beads are initially purchased for.

I saw these earrings in beadwork and wanted to try that pattern, but never made it. Love the colors in your pair. Very nice!

 ooohhh.... fun idea! With gold or silver seedbeads to look like garlands maybe? Ok, I'm not a weaver, so I'll keep my clueless suggestions to myself!

 Aw Lois, it's not clueless. I think it's a great idea. I am still searching for beads, but hate to break down and buy a few packs. I am going to make a run to the LBS tomorrow and search for swars in green and then add gold seed beads as the garland and dot around red and gold christmas balls! I hate that it sometimes takes longer to gather the materials then to actually put it together.

Me too!  I'll hunt around for just the perfect components for a piece and I might piddle around for upwards of an hour for something that takes 15 minutes to make.  Let's say I'm probably not the most productive person on the planet...
