Earrings

 I am on a roll with all the earring-swapping! Besides the ones on this lovely forum, I entered a couple on Swap-bot. I've made 2 pairs for my swap-partner:

First, a pair in purple and burgundyred, stitched with firepolished glass, 11/0 and 15/0

And Second, a copper wireworked pair with olive green czech glass.

Pictures are a bit blurry, due to bad lighting.... But I guess you can still see how they turned out.

OK, the first pair yells CHRISTMAS!!!! And the second reminds me of St. Patrick's Day! Love them both.

 Those are really pretty Kimmie! The red ones look like larger versions of my bohemian garnets I bought when I was in Prague... So pretty! And the Green ones are so delicate. I am going to have to give that little wire conector a try. I have a jig and everything... just seem to be too lazy to break it out and experiment. Did you have to hammer it a bit to harden?

THey DO look a bit like shamrocks too...

The stitched piece had a twist, because I let the center bead come out horizontally, instead of vertically, like I normally do. It gives a different look. I made the copper connectors freehand with my pliers, they are not totally equal, but it looks great. I didn't hammer the wire, but draw it between a closed nylon plier, this stiff up the wire just enough to keep it's shape.
And I am on Swap-bot mainly because I knit, crochet and needle felt in addition to my beadwork, and on Swap-bot you can do all kind of swaps. It's fun, but the beadwork swaps are the best on this forum!!!

They are beautiful...I'd happily wear them both...thanks for sharing...they're great!!

 Yeah, I made it with copper wire, it really makes the green pop! Think I might make a pair for myself....
