Def!  Though I have to say...my family is really good about seperating it out and not having them be double gifts.  I appriciate that.  Esp. since my B-day is EXACTLY a week from Chrsitmas.

Stan, sounds like you & I are pretty close.  My family's been pretty good about separating them too, but b-day parties didn't always happen because there was so much going on around the holidays.  I at least got a cake or some special treat, and we made it a tradition to decorate the Christmas tree on or near my birthday.

It was always hard for me as my birthday is Jan 10. So when my first great grandchild was born on Dec.16 I swore I would always get her something for her birthday and it has to be wrapped in Birthday paper, cause it is her birthday gift not a Christmas gift. Last year I bought her a Karaoke machine and a couple of cd's for it. I think this year I will get her a inexpensive digital camera. She will be 6 going on 20.

She is so special to me. When she was born at 8 months she weighed in at 3lbs and 14 oz. She wasn't home for Christmas but came home a couple of days later. She was  so small I made her doll clothes to wear and they were even too large for a short time. At 6 she is as big as the most of the kids in her kidergarten class and taller than some. You  would have never guessed that at the age of 6 months she was the size of a 3 month old. At the age of 1 she was still taking baths in my kitchen sink.

DH is Jan 19 & I am Jan 20th, So, we celebrate both days(Cake and Ice Cream two days in a row!.) . My Friends always keep Christmas and Birthday seperate. 

As for growing up, No, Christmas and Birthday was one gift. Usually clothing, Shoes etc. I will be 65 in Jan and have never had a Birthday Party, And That is fine with me.

I like the idea of a two months at once, for the Holidays it will work great for me.

Hey Inca! I think I am going to sit the holidays out. But please include my name for round 10 in Jan!!!
