What a Great Idea, Jeni! I will take a ton of my unfinished Earrings, and finish making them at the Craft Sales.
(wait, I already have a ton of unfinished Earrings)
I have to let you all know if that works in "RV Craft Sales".. to be continued..

Jeni - I was late seeing this but Congrats on getting in at the last minute! Since you were there this year, maybe that will give you an "in" for next year. I too agree that at the craft shows that I go to, people are looking for the inexpensive gift ideas. Earrings and stretchy bracelets are the best for me since they can be done within a very reasonable price range for most everyone.
Anyway...Congrats!
Have a great day!

Jeni: Thanks for sharing your experience with us. It is always great to hear what works and what doesn't and how the whole things goes. I am going to display and sell (hopefully :) this Saturday. It is a well known local craft fair but I think I will be looking at the same idea to take lower priced jewelry. I string a lot of pendants on metallic cord and such so that I can price them a little lower since I am not using expensive chain.
I will let you all know what sells well and what doesn't. Of course, I am sure each area of the country is even different, let alone internationally.

Good luck! I hope you get a booth. How exciting and I would imagine a little nerve racking too. I'm sending lots of good vibes your way. Be sure to let us know what happens - Oh, and take pictures if you can.

That's one thing I completely forgot to do-take photos. My booth looked the same as it did in the spring, but I still like to get pics every time. It was busy as soon as it opened, so I never got a chance.

Jeni, I missed this post until now, but congrats that you got in, even if it was really late. And congrats on some sales. So I hope the organizers do a better job next year. It's always difficult to decide what will sell and what not.

Jeni,
Congrats on making some sales, but I'm so sorry to hear about the accounting headache! I feel fortunate that the show I'm going to next month does not take a commission.
I agree that it's a good idea to bring jewelry to work on while at the show. I might consider that, but I'm always wanting to keep an eye on things to make sure people don't walk off with anything. I know that's what my helper is for, but last year she was so busy chatting that I don't think she was watching for shoplifters.
Anyhoo, I hope that you get invited back next year and that the organizers will re-think their accounting practices.
