Hi Christine.  I read here some, but am not a frequent poster.  Did you ever see the bracelet worn before it was broken? Is it possible you're trying to get it  to look better than it did when new?  At any rate, would your friend be happy if you could remake the piece so that it looked nice, even if it didn't look like the original version?

Just some thoughts... best of luck with it.

I never did see before it broke.  And I just have her description to go by.  I've literally tried 20 ways to do this, and the only way it seems to be round is when the petals are sticking straight up.  Which isn't right.  I showed that to her, and she said it wasn't right.  I also talked to a few people here, some craft-y people.  They heard where she got it, and said to just do the best I could because I was never going to be able to duplicate it.  So, I am waiting for one more person's feedback, and I will just do it the best I can.

I DID IT!  I DID IT!  Look!  I took a petal bead, passed a thread through the bottom, took a small yellow bead, passed the thread through it and then back through the top of the petal bead.  I then strung a white bead, and repeated for all the beads.  It looked really messy at first, but I straightened them out, passed another thread only through the yellow beads, and pulled tight!  And glued that puppy for all its life!! Big Smile

thanks it looks good. I can see why you were so excited. It has been a real headache for you for a couple of days I also would be very ecxited.

Good job and I am sure it was a challenge not having seen it before it broke.

     Kimmie!

I bead and bead and bead and bead... And when I am not beading, I am taking pictures of my beadwork, blogging about it, or trying to sell it here and here...
Please take a look around, and let me know what you think...

Thanks!  I just hope I did it tight enough and it holds up.  I used nylon filament (fishing line, basically) and beadalon cord for the last step (for the yellow beads).  And I glued it to within an inch of its life! Big Smile  Thanks.  It's a really nice feeling to have figured it out.  Even if it wasn't quite what it was before, I think it works anyway.
