    Party!!! [<:o)] using resin

Hi, I would like to try experimenting with resin.  I have seen several brands.  Can anyone tell me which is best?  Any other tips will be appreciated.  Thanks

    Re: using resin

I'm by no means an expert, but I did dabble a few weeks ago.  Before I started I watched a lot of YouTube videos.

I chose Easy Cast because it has a 1 to 1 ratio for mixing the two components for catylization.  It was very easy.

Mixing it properly and pouring slowly are the keys to avoid bubbles.

I'll get back to it again some day.

    Good luck!

Hi Vicki,  Thanks and also for the reminder about How To Videos....it's so helpful to see someone do something.  Wonderhowto.com is my favorite new site.  I love these forums.   Laura

You could also do a forum search. Just put resin in the upper right search box and you'll get some posts about resin for sure.

There was a special issue from Beadwork called "Handcrafted Jewelry"

There's a large article on all types of resin, glazes and even a comparison chart. It also features some projects with resin, so you can try what you've learned....

     Kimmie!

I bead and bead and bead and bead... And when I am not beading, I am taking pictures of my beadwork, blogging about it, or trying to sell it here and here...
Please take a look around, and let me know what you think...
