    Re: Release A Balloon

Kia, I'm so very sorry for your loss.  Thankfully, I don't have first-hand experience, but I've often heard that losing a child is the absolute worst pain a woman can experience.  You're in my prayers, especially on the anniversary of Baby Oliver's passing.

I'm afraid I can't actually release a balloon for you, as there's no place here that sells helium balloons.  I live on an extremely small island in the middle of the Pacific, and resources are sometimes difficult to come by.  I've also heard that balloons aren't too healthy for sea turtles, and we have lots of them here.  Don't know for sure if it's true, though, could be an urban myth.

Anyway, blessings and prayers for you!

    Have a beadiful day!

    Re: Release A Balloon

Kia, I released one of my birthday balloons for little Oliver, so the lonely balloon rising over Germany is from me. You're in my thoughts!

Last year my brother and SIL lost twins and it was the worst experience I ever had, although they were not my children. I can't speak for the rest of my family and how they felt about it, but I saw their faces and I saw them cry, even the ones I never saw crying before. The birth of my cute niece this summer made the pain a little easier to bear, but we will never forget her two siblings.

I am so sorry for your loss.  Yesterday was the 7th anniversary of my mother's passing.  I included your son in my prayer when I lit the yarzeit candle.  I

    Re: Release A Balloon

I truly appreciate the kindness and thoughts - thank you.
I always think of the other people who have lost loved ones, I guess it's something that unites people.
Inca - I love your idea.
My husband arranged for us to release a pair of white doves this year. I had no idea he was going to do that.

Thank you, one and all, for your thoughts at this time.
