    Hi all!

My name is Marsha and I've been making beaded jewelry since I was a teenager.  As I got older I discovered there was more to beading than just getting things from craft stores...I discovered bead stores and bead shows! I've been extra hooked ever since lol!

I have made lots of my own jewelry and get inspired by jewelry I see in stores, that I don't want to pay for because I can just make it :) In grad school, my friend and I used to make and sell a lot of jewelry and I used to sell a lot during the holidays.  Now that I am married with 2 small children my beading activity has slowed down quite a bit   :(  But not a day goes by that I don't think about or have the desire to make something...anything!  I can't go in Michael's, Hobby Lobby or a bead store without buying beads! It's a lovely addiction :) and my husband always has to give me a $ limit.

Anywho, I just wanted to introduce myself and say hi. I am looking forward to getting lots of great ideas and insight from you all and hopefully get the time to get back to designing some nice pieces again!

     Hi Marsha!

I've got the same problem - more beads in my stash & designs in my head than time to do anything about them.  I'm not a great sketch artist, but I got myself a blank book and colored pencils to get those designs recorded.  By the time I find a stretch of time to actually make something, I've lost the image from my brain.  Also there are design moods, and construction moods, seldom at the same time!  Finally, I often buy cool art beads online with a design in mind, but a week later when they come in the mail, I have no clue what I had envisioned at the time.

    Marsha -

Welcome!  You say that your husband has to give you a $ limit - doesn't he know that beads are more important than such pesky things as electricity bills and taxes? Big Smile

You've got to show us your stuff!

Actually, Lita, 'Us' old geezers can't see too well by candlelight, nor by the light of the coal oil lamps,  we need Ott Lites!  So, the electric bill must be paid, unfortunately.

I agree on the taxes, but, they do keep the government employees off the streets!
