Talked to Joshy's mom this afternoon. He is doing MUCH better. ThatTamiflu is a miracle drug, for sure and worth every penny, though maybe not the hassle.
Now, we've got a little concern with Joshy's mom (my daughter Becky) and his sister Lorelei. Becky's got a cough and diarrhea, and she's going to the doctor tomorrow to get herself and Lorelei checked out.
I'll let everyone know what the corporate office says as soon as I hear anything.

Glad to hear he is doing better. I didn't post to this thread originally but I did read it and was praying for him. This H1N1 stuff is scary and I worry about the kiddos more so.
Hopefully Becky and Lorelei ( I love her name ) are going to be just fine as well.
Keeping you in my prayers :)
Deb, wow...I am so sorry to hear all this! I am just glad that he got the meds needed, 4 hours or not! That is really rediculous about them not taking CC over the phone though...
Anyway, just wanted to let you know that you and your family are in my prayers!

Deb ~ I'm glad that Joshy is feeling better, I hope his mom & sister get well soon. Take care of yourself & your family. Prayers headed your way.
Tamiflu is great if you can find it, we have eight pharmacies in town and only one pharmacy had it in stock when my daughter needed it, I was shocked when it cost us $98.

At $98 for Tamiflu, you got a deal. It was $128 here! I almost swallowed my tongue! Mike didn't even flinch - bless him. He just pulled out the card and signed the slip.
We just got the H1N1 injectible vaccines late last week - and the clinics ran out. There's only about 20,000 doses left and they are going to the elementary schools, first. Kids, and pregnant women get the first doses.
Joshy's doing much better. My daughter in San Diego has decided not to get her 2 children (3 years and not quite a month) the H1N1 mist, though she will probably get them the seasonal flu shots.
We haven't heard from the pharmacy. Mike contacted one of the local TV stations and their investigative reporters. It will be interesting to see which one we hear from first! IF we don't hear from either one by Weds, I'll post the pharmacy name and let you folks take it from there. [Not that I'm instigating or anything. <LOL>]
All this flu stuff is scary. Your family is in my prayers. I hope the pharmacy gets bit for this and changes policy.
Deb,
How is everyone? Doing well I hope.
Courtney
The policy of the pharmacy chain really makes me angry!
So I hope Joshi is better and can play around again soon. It's frightening when little ones get ill.

Naaaaaaawwww, YOU wouldn't do thaaaaat! [I'm the one who made the 10% comment, remember?]
It would be very good for the TV stations to carry that out tho'.
I'm not bothering with that injection either! I still remember the 'all at one time' shots in the army!

Instigate away, Deb!! It's a shame that sometimes this is what we have to do to get the attention of these giant, money-grubbing corporations that are allegedly supposed to be serving their customers, but do what you have to. We're behind you!
Deb : The nicest part was the regional manager asked how Joshy is doing and if the Tamiflu helped. He was glad to hear that it worked so quickly - he completely understood a grumpy Grandpa who adores his grandson being so upset. He told Mike that in the future, if we pay with a credit card here, our contact information, etc. will be linked with Joshy's account if it's ever needed in the future. SO - thanks for the support! You can all take off your boycott hats and war bonnets now. Walgreen's DID make good for us - clarified their policy to us and will re-train all parties involved in that particular store. Thanks again, everyone! Deb

Deb: Good news -- I'm glad. And, knowing how Walgreen's made it right with you gives me a whole different opinion of them! I'm so glad that the Reg. mgr. stepped up! Nice!
Deb, how are Becky and Lorelei doing? All healthy by now, I hope.
H1N1 isn't much fun. Turns out we're pretty sure I had it last/this week myself. On day 2 I called the clinic and talked with a nurse, and she told me that H1N1 cases almost always have a cough, which I didn't have. I was finally able to get back in the shop yesterday, and an RN friend of mine came in and she said that you usually DON'T have a cough with it. After we talked for a bit, she figured my case was probably indeed H1N1. Not fun, no matter how old you are.
Prayers for good health for all!
Have a beadiful day!

It's crazy. My BIL had it, was out for 10 days and now has pneumonia......his 1 yr old daughter got it and was back to herself in 48 hours. My other sister is now home with it as well. Please take care. I am hoping that my son doesn't have it.
