I've been interested in beading for the past 4yrs and finally started bead weaving in April. In those 4 yrs I started buying supplies but didn't find my niche til I realized that they weren't going to make things on their own! So after I got over being affraid of using up my stash I tried bead weaving and love it!!  Big Smile  All of the info I needed to get started was on the internet and I didn't even realize it! LOL! Thanks Beading Daily for all your help and inspiration!!  Now I'm in the process of setting up my pics on Etsy and my blog-I even started up a business because I wanted to save the name that I wanted!

Linda-- *L* yeah, that desire to hoard your little treasures never seems to go away... I have been beading my whole life and it only seems to get worse! But it's so fun and addictive. Can't wait to see some of what you've made!

 Hi Linda.

I'm new to the Beading Daily site and jewelry design too.  I live in Lake Orion; about 30 min. south of Grand Blanc.  I too am starting a business and a website.  (See my intro for Derko Design.)  I too built up my bead supply before really diving in full force this spring.  If you ever want to compare notes on local bead sources, that would be great

Hi inda and Vicki,

I also live in Michigan but alot future south from both of you. I live in Temperance. Yea, that is the last town you see when you drive South on I-75. You get off at exit 3 You can also get off at exit 1 but you have to know the area to wind your way around. We live closer to Toledo than we do any sized town in Michigan. So we usually do all our shopping in Toledo, OH.

Anyway, I wanted to say "hey" and to welcome you to the forum. And if you are ever in Dundee on a Friday or Sunday come and visit me at Raisin River Beads in Downtown Dundee where I work part time. Or I should say I get to play instead of work.Big Smile Come on in I am always ready and willing to help out with any problem you may be having or just help you pick colors and beads.

 Thanks Sue.

I don't get to Dundee often (stayed in a B&B next to McDonalds umpteen years ago), but you can bet I have a new goal now!  I got to 3 new (to me) shops in Lansing today, so you never know when I'll have a chance to check it out.  When I do, I'll be sure to make it a Friday or Sunday.

Does your shop have a good selection of copper?

Welcome to Beading Daily Linda!

So nice of you to join us and we would all love to see your work! We love sharing here :)

I checked your blog out and see you like spiral rope- me too, though I don't do it very much.

I'm not much of a weaver, mostly stringing and learning wire work but there are plenty of weavers here that could help with any trouble you may run in to.

Stay around for a while- I'm sure you'll enjoy it here Big Smile

More than I have seen at other stores. She also has a large selection of semi precious stones and freshwater pearls. And her Swarovskis are out on a table where you don't need to ask to see them.

Girl, the B&B has been gone for several years now replaced by Jingles Bells Christmas and Gift  Store. It is really nice gets alot of traffic particularly nearer to Christmas.

LInda -

Welcome to the Forums - we're a friendly and slightly crazy group, and always enjoy seeing new creations.  It inspires us.

Don't ever worry about using up your stash - I don't think it's possible.  In nearly 20 years, I've never, ever gotten down to my last bead, and I don't think I ever will.

 Sue,

Excellant!  Sorry to hear about the B&B, but that was with husband #1 anyway.  I've upgraded to the 2.0 model with many happier memories now.  ;-)

I'll have to pick up my sis in Inkster and make a road trip sometime soon.  After my next sale or two I might be able to stash away a little 'investment capital.'  If so, I'll give you a heads up.
