white coral heishi; 1x8mm very thin Dics/Wafers

 I agree with Jeni about the posibility of a metal as an accent. I like her idea of the thin heshi discs, or possibly some hand-made silver beads in the same "melon" shape.... something that either is just a hint of silver, or has some strong texture... so that it stays looking masculine.

 I had a really tough time finding 8-9mm spacers for a petersite necklace. I really can empathise with you. The closest I've come to a thin (but still noticable) spacer, is from FMG. They are brash disc and vary in thickness from 1-2mm. Maybe you could try something like this?

That's exactly the type of thing I was thinking of Evalie.  I have some of those but smaller-4x2mm I think.

I've been too short on time and not able to answer back to and reply of my appreciation for such tasy ideas and comments and...you, all my beading angels  (CathiK, ChristineT, CrystalCubeBead, Count all those C's, Deb, Evalie, LitaC, LoisB, LinaG, LOTS OF L'S, JSmaz, NostradamaS (who the heck is he? he's no angel!))  yes it is you who just might've been imagining a jewelry designing statement that goes a little something like, oh...perhaps this - it is I who is now  wonderfully imagining...hmmmm - Swweet Ginger Bbrroowwnn!

This particular necklace of old blue denim coral graduates soooo much more devinely than my new strand does and having added masculinity in there - and is maybe why I likes it. Can't miss how this necklace includes these 3 thoughtfully, strategically placed 'eye-catching' metal spacers and may be a perfect example of where all my angels are thinking my new coral has worldly potential to be heading straight for too. I've stayed excited all this while and hope to respond to each of you that already contributed fine and needed suggestions and/or just as fine a comment.

In the mean time - the 2 new coral rounds ordered last week that Allison Dow supplied, they arrived yesterday amongst some other fun coral stuff, and I was beading late; then recently updated my pic to reflect my earlier idea: that of moving 2 larger 9mm beads up - Allsion threw in some extra carved rounds too so I added more, now it's at 20" and I may remove them to get more closer to 18" again. In the meaner time going to re-visit places again like ChristineT has so wisely suggested and sit back for some pizza whilst listening for angels.  NostradamaS  

I like the graduated heishi necklace-nice color!

 Love the first one with the brass(??) spacers. It really sets it off and it makes it very unisex. I would definitely wear that one myself. The second one looks okay, but it doesn't 'pop' like the first one does tomy eyes. Don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with it per se, it just doesn't do for me what the first one does. Nice work on both though.

 I love the texture in the Melon beads... I think that lends a nice contrast to the heshi's.  I still think it needs something in a contrasting color... some metal... or possably some black onyx or lava or dyed black coral in there....perhaps replacing the smaller round beads you have between the melon shaped coral rounds... just my own rambling thoughts

Lava could be a good choice Lois, and coral does grow from it...

After reading Billy's post, I went back and looked again; He's right, the second one -- softer in shading / color changes --is more feminine, and the first -- being crisper on the edges with defined color changes -- is more masculine.

Having said that, I now feel safe to say that the closest I come to  wearing a necklace is a cross on a chain, or my "Wood Badge" beads from Boy Scout Leader training.
