So glad to hear it all over and that you are doing well.  I've had several pieces of new hardware this year and wanted to share that the pain was rough and for a bit I thought it wasn't going to get better, but now those areas areas great.  SOOO.  hang in there and look forward to a pain free knee.  You are in my prayers.

Well, I just home from picking her up. She's at home now and kind of lazing around. I'm sure that she will be posting shortly to fill you all in herself. Thanks for everything!

    Re: A brand new knee

Hi everybody, wow, thanks for all the prayers and also for the challenge swap package, that really surprised me, and the timing was perfect.    I am already making a "beady" recovery...I love that!

I am okay, really.  There's still a lot ahead but I'll be fine.  I hope to be able to be here on the forums more soon.  I'll come on in and explain the details of the nurse wars and the holey bones tomorrow, Billy has just made supper and I'm hungry.  He's the sweetest man on earth and I'm without question the luckiest woman on earth to be here with him.

Biggest hugs and thanks to all of you...

    Pam

    Hi Pam,

great that you're back home and everything went well so far! So I wish you all the best and a speedy, beady recovery. With the package there are now enough beads available I think. Big Smile

Did you even look at the pics that I posted of our studio? We have more beads than most LBS's. However the challenge aspect of it will keep her busy, I feel sure. *grinz*

Yes, I did have a look (and I'm still glad, that you two didn't get lost in all the beads!)! But a little backup is always good. Wink

Pam, I am so glad to hear that you are now home and that Billy is taking good care of you. Take it easy and let Billy take care of you. It seems to do his spirit well to take care of you.

I hope it won't be long and you will be doing the beady jig again.

That's what I try to tell her, but she's a bit mule-headed. *grinz* She's a nurse and they really do make the worst patients. *laughz* But she knows it and that's okay. I do what I can and what she'll let me. That's all I can do, ya know.

Billy-- oh my, I can only imagine... you must have the patience of a saint! Wink

Now Pam... let you knee HEAL! It won't help anyone in the long run if you insist on trying to do the small things too much/early and end up slowing the process, right? none of us can help with the pain or healing process, so let those near you have the satisfaction of at least being able to help by takeing care of you.

Whatcha think Billy? will that work? it's the same line I use on DH when he's sick and stillt trying to help with chores. Usually works on him, but I'm not so sure it'll work on a New England Nurse!

Well, regardless, I hope you recover qickly and completely. Oh, and that you have your beady muse as good company for the durration!

    Lois

    Re: A brand new knee

    Hey Pam,

So great to hear you are home and doing well.  OK, stepping up on the soap box....  BEHAVE YOURSELF, rest and get well.  I KNOW what it is like to have to be still and not do all the stuff that is screaming to be done, I've been down most of this year for the first time in my life.  And did I behave at first?...... NOOOOO and did I pay for it?...YESSSS.  So, there's my preaching for the day Big Smile

Seriously Pam.  It's great to see you back on the forums and hear you are doing well.  TRY to take it easy and BEAD BEAD BEAD.

    Hugs,

    Marie
