Pam, Lordy, don't you just HATE migraines? And that's the LAST thing you needed right now -- more pain. I feel for you, sister!
I hope Billy's acupuncture session was helpful. With pain, even a little relief is a good thing, ya know? It's great that he and his family have been able to help you out. You know you'd do it for him in a heartbeat if your situations were reversed!
That's great that you were able to set up some transcription work! They must REALLY love you (duh, of COURSE they do!) if they're willing to work around your surgery schedule.
Happy Halloween, my friend! Hope you get lots more treats than tricks!!!
Have a beadiful day!
lisa
Well, the transcription work is on hold until after surgery at this point. I got almost all ready to do for this just short of downloading some work. Billy went to set up my computer and we found that someone from my former family took the hard drive out of it before sending it down here. So transcription work is on hold until after my surgery because we need a little time to get the computer working again, by that time I'll be resting from surgery and won't be able to do it until I recover a little.
Otherwise we're about the same. Billy did get a little relief from the acupuncture, I'm having better days and not so good days.
Thanks everybody for the prayers and good thoughts, they do help.

Pam (and Billy),
Good thoughts for a good weekend. Be well you two.

Well, that's sweet ! [He said, with HEAVY sarcasm.]

That's awful about the computer Pam. Some really low deeds from your former family. It's such a shame people have to be that way.
I hope you are getting some kind of pain relief and I'll be praying for you to heal quickly!
Sometimes I just don't get the point why people do such things! But I meet a lot of those lately, so I hope I will never ever get used to their behavior..........Pam, Billy, good thoughts for you!

Pam, wasn't today Knee-Day? How did it go? You've been in my prayers.....
Billy (and Pam) please let us know that all went well.

Sorry folks, I kind of went off into my own little word and kind of mucked things up with the info. I did post in a hijacked thread, but to tell the truth, I didn't even think of this thread until Lisa posted and I saw it at the top of the list this morning.
Her surgery went well and she is doing fine. Her doc even patched up the screw hole left by her previous surgeon when he removed her last hardware. He filled them up with bone grafting material in hopes that it will take and fill them in. A bunch of holes in a bone can make it very weak. She's in a good bit of pain this morning, but she refused the CPA pump and opted for oral meds instead. She doesn't like the side effects of morphiene based drugs and I can't say as I blame her.
She's as fiesty as ever and already had a go with a night nurse, so she's going to be just fine. *laughz* I'm going to grab some wire and my pliers and go up and sit with her for awhile this afternoon. I don't want to be away, but I don't want to be in the way either, ya know. Kind of a tough nut to swallow for both of us, but she should be coming home Sunday, so things will even out a bit more. I talked to her about a half hour ago and she was waiting for the PT team to show up and do their thing. I just hope that the torture isn't too much. For either party! *grinz* I'll tell you, the lady is in rare form. I may have to go rescue someone if it gets out of hand. I'm just unsure of whom may need rescuing at the moment.
Seriously though, she's in a pretty good mood all things considered and she's taking it all in stride in spite of small annoyances. I made her night thanks to Jeni and the challenge Swap Crew. When i went back to see her last night, I stopped by the mailbox and their was a package from Jeni for her. When she opened it up and read the note, she teared up a little. I really don't think that there was very much love in her life until recently and it all hits her kind of hard. She is awed and amazed by te things that are said and done by all of you here at BD as well as what we do here at home. She said that she has never had anyone treat her this way before and she doesn't fully understand it. From what i see, you guys don't know any other way to treat people and frankly, neither do I. I just don't understand how some people's minds work. It kills me to know what she has been through, but it also pleases me that she has all of you now. True friends who appreciate her for who she is and not what she can do for you. Thank you ALL so much for being there.

Oh good, I'm glad she's doing so well and that the package arrived safely this time! No way were we letting her skip out on this one, and she deserves to have a little fun something while recuperating!
Next time you see her make sure to give her a big hug from me!

Billy, you're the cutest and I'm glad, you're there to take care of her! And it seems the timing with the challenge package from Jeni was just perfect. Say hello to Pam from me and give her a hug!
Billy Z:I just don't understand how some people's minds work.
Jepp, I agree! I've met a lot of "weird" or simply mean people lately of whom I never thought they could act like that and I'm disappointed of them. But who cares for them if I receive at least one friendly word or a smile a day!
So happy to hear she's doing well! Give her lots of loving hugs from me, ok?
WIth the package she has plenty to work on while she is resting up, not that she didn't already :)
And bless you Billy for taking such good care of her!
Oh Billy - thank you! You have alot going on right now, no worries. I am glad that she is doing well and thank you for all you are doing for her! Please give her a big hug from me and tell her that we are thinking of her.
Now with the package, she has something to focus on while she mends!!!!! So very happy that it arrived totally on time.
This is the 3rd time I've tried to respond to this...

I'm glad you got to update us, Billy.
From your report, I'd agree that it's probably a toss up of who you would be rescuing from whom! <LOL>
Give Pam a hug from me!
