This was a good swap! Lots of interesting designs- all of them beautiful. I had a great time participating in this one. I can't wait to for the next bracelet swap...?

    Kia:

We've had postal strikes here in England, but today I got home to find Mr Postie had left me lots of mail. In that mail was my bracelet Big Smile

Kimmie - thank you so much. You really couldn't have captured girly, glittery stuff better.
It's so pretty and totally perfect.
If you have piccies please post, other wise I'll try and get my camera to play nice and take some.
Again thank you so very much for my beautiful bracelet =) *hugs*

Yay! I am so glad you like it! Is the size right? I had to restring the sides 3 times to get it right.... Off course I took some pics:

It's quite a big wirewrapped flower, I used 10mm celestial discoball crystals in pink and clear, the wire and findings are silver plated copper.

I am sooooooo happy you like it!!!

    -xo-
     Kimmie!

I bead and bead and bead and bead... And when I am not beading, I am taking pictures of my beadwork, blogging about it, or trying to sell it here and here...
Please take a look around, and let me know what you think...

    Kimmie, it fits great =)
It really sparkles and twinkles. Oh clever way of taking pics - I'd never have thought of doing that.

    Re: October Bracelet Reveal

     Hey Mary and all,

Thank you so much for the prayers.  As you can tell, I'm at home and survived the latest surgery.  They had to reopen the incision from the neck fusion surgery and then across to the other side of my neck for the thyroid, so I look like I came out on the really bad side of knife fight Big Smile Not feeling too bad, just sore and kinda weakly, but everything went well.  Now it's going through the process of getting my thyroid med levels right and getting past the mess from the wreck.

It was really nice to get home and find messages of support .  You guys are all so great.

I think I noticed a new post for the January Bracelet swap, so I'm going to pop in over there and sign up.  As long as I can shop on line and sit in a chair I CAN BEAD :-)

Have a wonderful day and thanks again for the prayers.

    Marie

Oh hun, that sounds pretty scary.
I hope they can get your thyroid meds sorted out quickly, my mom had her (over-active) thyroid destoryed by radiation (iodine) because it couldn't be managed with meds.
Hopefully the scarring wont be too bad and you'll be back on your feet, so to speak, in due course.

    Re: October Bracelet Reveal

Thanks Kia.  My poor thyroid was covered in nodules that worried the docs and so they took it out and threw it away.  Amazingly, it was still functioning pretty well, but they didn't like the looks of the nodules.  As to scarring, right now it looks terrible (about 6"), fits right in with a Halloween theme Tongue Tied but they tried to keep the incisions in the crease of neck, so maybe it won't look too aweful.

Hey Marie-- Emu oil from australia is supposed to help skin heal and reduce scarring. Once the incision has gotten sealed, you might consider getting some... it ALSO relieves the itching when things start to get serious on healing.

    Re: October Bracelet Reveal

     Hey Lois,

Thanks for the suggestions.  I'll get some.  I go back to the surgeon next week to check out the healing and should be able to use it after that I think.  It's looking better and seems to be healing well.  Working on getting the hormone levels up now and the other medical issues straightened out.  Last week was a challenge, was just dragging and in a fog.  Thinks it's getting better now.  I'm going to post here on the request of another member, but not sure if it is ok to do that in this forum, so if you, or anyone here can let me know if I should post somewhere else, please do.

    Re: October Bracelet Reveal

I just got a WONDERFUL package from Norway! Inca-- I LOVE IT! Funny, the last 2 weeks I've discovered I didn't have a good bracelet to wear with black, and now I do! I haven't taken it off since it arrived in the mail last night. If you have photos, post 'em, if not, I'll take photos this afternoon.  (have to help a friend move... again...)

Oh, and I got a CUTE pair of copper heart earrings too! Big Smile
