    Decrease and Increase - Peyote

Embarrassed Sorry if I am posting in the wrong spot, it is my first time.

I found on How To - Doodlebeads, the video for odd count peyote and tried to find similar on Increasing and Decreasing Peyote.  Does anyone know if this information is o the site?

    Thank you

    Geniegal

    Geniegal,

If you will go to bead-patterns.com

in the tool bar for that site click on "FREE" in this section you will find the tutorials you are looking for. It may take you some time to find them. Here I found them for you

    http://www.bead-patterns.com/shop/shop.php?method=itemnumber&keywords=798

    http://www.bead-patterns.com/animations/4.php

    http://www.bead-patterns.com/animations/2.php

I am sure you may find other directions on other sites but this is the site that has taught me everything I know about off loom weaving.

Ps. Geniegal, if I were you I would remove your e-mail address from you name. this web site is a public one and you may get all kinds of mail you may not want if you get my drift. If anyone wants to e-mail you from this forum they can do so by by going to the top of your post and click on contact and you will get an e-mail though Beading Daily and no one will have your e-mail address.

I hope this will help you with your question. Come back and ask as many questions as you like.

I'm delighted you are learning from my Doodlebeads video! I haven't done one yet on increasing and decreasing, so thanks for the request. I'll have to do that for a couple stitches--peyote, brick, square stitch.  What else would you like?

    Best,

    Leslie

Thank you Sue.  I did not realise my email was showing and I cannot work out how to get it off.  Pretty new to this.  I went to EDIT but could not see it there.

Can anyone tell me how to take it off please?

Leslie, your videos are so clear.  I noted that you will have a DVD coming out at the end of October and am eagerly awaiting that.

I am going to explore Right Angle Weave next.  Something that looks pretty scary!

I love RAW, especially cubic RAW! Flat RAW is one of the stitches I explain on the DVD. It's really fun, (not scary, lol!) but like all the other stitches, takes practice. I'll be eager to hear if my Doodlebeads teaching method helps you "get it"!

    Happy beading!

I am not sure how you would do that. You may have to unregister and register again without the e-mail address. Maybe Leslie could help you with this.

What try going into your profile and editing it. You just have to click on edit at the top of this page where you see your name and edit and sign out. Do you see it? click on the edit and maybe you can take the e-mail out of your name. If you still have problems I don't have anymore ideas.

Upper right corner of this page, click on EDIT [right after your name].  The Profile Options tab should be on top.  Go down to "Common Profile Options", and change your name -- that's how I did it when I changed to my current [on-line] name.

Hmmm, thanks Sue and Stan.  In my profile my name was just showing as Geniegal.  Interesting.   I have changed it to something different and will wait to see if that updates okay.

When you are in your edit page, you have to go to the tab marked "site options" and make sure you click yes to "enable display name", then save your changes.  That's what will remove your email address.

Welcome to the forums, by the way!

Not to cut in on another post.. But Leslie.. I have to say, your videos are a godsend. I have a learning disability that inhibits me from properly reading written patterns.. Which up until I started looking at most of interweaves magazines, also decreased the amount of magazines I could purchase and actually work from. You not only do step by step pictures, but you also say what you're doing.. That is so helpful.. I won't lie.. the first time I saw one of your videos, I teared up a bit.. someone finally "got it" and knew how to teach me.. If you're serious on the requests.. i'd really love to learn herringbone.. I have this magazine I bought.. 7 years ago to make this necklace for my mom.. and I don't know how to do herringbone :(

I'm really glad to know Leslie's helping so many people.. I know I'm not alone with my problem.
