I've made a couple of new necklaces in a rosary style.  I've always thought those were really beautiful!  :)  I think I finally got the hang of doing loops by the time I got done with these!  lol, but my hands hurt.

This first one is made up of an antique brass pendant and findings and all Swarovski crystal and brass beads.  I think this one's my favorite of the two.  Big Smile

This second one is mostly glass and gunmetal beads with a few small Swarovski crystals near the pendant, and a gunmetal cross and findings.  I wish I could have found a slightly larger gunmetal cross.  Just slightly.  The only other one I could find was huge.

Beautiful necklaces! The brass one is my fav, too, as I like the fall colors of it.

The gunmetal one is great, too. Purple and and gunmetal is a good color combination. And you must have been very busy making all those loops! And I know what you mean with your hands hurting. I recently made some chain maille pieces........coiling, cutting and assembling all those jump rings......ouch!

Really wonderful! I also love the first one, but am partial to fall anyway.  Your work is beautiful.

"Y" necklaces are my favorite style of necklaces.

I really like both of the necklaces however that said I think my favorite is the first one with the lovely fall colors.

Great job, keep up the good work. Your hands will soon feel better and will be itching to do more of the same.

Have a beady good day to all.

 Oh I love these!

I really like them both so I guess I don't have a fave. Though I see why you would have wanted a slightly larger cross.

Thanks for sharing!

Very nice, both of them.  I have to agree #1 is my favorite-love the brass filigree & leaf.  The gunmetal one is nice as well.  I don't have much in the way of gunmetal findings so I don't use it often.

 Love them both!

I really like rosary style.  I also love crosses, they figure a lot in the jewelry I make for myself, and no...not Catholic.  I made a right angle cross a month or so ago, maybe I'll put it on a rosary chain.

See...you inspired me :)

WOW!!

Comments on the first one..........GREAT color combination!  I love it!  And here I thought that only fire-polished beads went with brass, that Swarovski was too pricey to mix with brass!  Boy was I wrong!  I LOVE the first necklace and it has given me inspiration!  I made one rosary-style necklace a while back with fire polished beads, and doesn't even compare to yours!  Great job!!

I'm still waiting for the pics of the gunmetal necklace to load, I have a miserably slow dial-up internet connection.

Here's my honest thoughts on the second necklace.  It is pretty, but to me it looks too much like a real rosary.  My favorite is definitely the first one!

Beautiful! In my humble little opinion this is what rosary beads should look like - classy and beautiful...I love them both, can't pick a fave with these!

thanks for sharing

Thank you very much everyone!  The first one is the one that I had a real vision for when I bought the pendant and the center connectors.  lol I even made a little sketch of it while I was waiting for my crystals to come in the mail.  Big Smile  The second one I wanted to make a more gothy version of this style of necklace.  I was debating between using this little cross pendant, or I also now have some black lucite roses that I can add onto a filigree that would make a nice pendant.  I didn't want to wait for those (which came it the mail today) and ended up going with the cross.  But I think I just may make another with the black rose pendant idea and also gunmetal findings.  But probably some different bead colors.

It was really hard to get a good picture of those beads!  They're actually a dark cobalt blue.  They so dark they look almost black accept for when the light shines through them.  I was a little disapointed they weren't brighter, but they're still pretty.  Smile

I can understand how making chain maille would hurt your hands!  I would love to learn how to do that sometime!  :)

I've recently bought a ton of gunmetal findings.  Most of them I bought for the purpose of making this necklace or a couple of my seed bead creations, but some of them weren't exactly what I had in mind for those projects, so now I have a lot of left over things to use!  I love the dark finish of gunmetal!  It really makes the colors pop.  :)

Yeah, I'm not Catholic either, but I've always love rosaries and crosses!  Wink  I just love all the linked beads on rosaries.  I bet your cross would look great on a rosary chain!
