    How to Post Photos

First, the photo has to be online somewhere.  There are several sites that host photos for free, Photobucket, Flickr and others.  These directions are for photos up on Photobucket because for unknown reasons when photos are posted from Flickr some members can't see them.  The process here is similar no matter what site is hosting the photos, the direct link is the one that needs to be used.

I hope this helps.  Feel free to ask if you have more questions.

Alternately, if it's hosted on a web page somewhere, you can right-click on the image and select "copy image location", then paste it in the BD pop up window when you click the tree icon.

Thanks for putting those directions up Pam!  That's very helpful.

When it works Jeni that's great but it doesn't all the time...I just wanted to post the directions in a place where they might be easier to find.

Yes that's true Pam, it doesn't always work.  I figured I'd throw it out there just in case though since that's how I finally got mine to work.

Thank you Jeni, I'm glad you did, I forgot to mention that in the directions for Photobucket and it's a great way to post photos when it does work.

    Re: How to Post Photos

     Dear Pam, I need help...

I do not have Photobucket or Flicker, but I do have a website.  I tried to locate a direct link for my pics that are stored in my website, but was unable to locate.  Is there a way for me to use my pics that are already out there online, or do I need to open a Photobucket account?  I have been wanting to be able to post pictures directly in my posts, but have only been able to  use a link.

I thank you so much for your help.  You are great in these forums.  Your smileys are the cutest in town!

    Peace and love,

    Diane

Read Jenji's post of Jul 15, on thisthread; she tells ho to do it from a web page.  Pam said it sometimes works, and sometimes doesn't.

    Re: How to Post Photos

Diane, have you tried to copy the picture and just paste it into your post? That might work.  If not then you need the code for the picture which is buried on your webpage and can be found if you left click on View and then Source at the main menu on your browser (if you're using IE8).  If you can't copy and paste and you can't find the code, email me the address of your page and let me know which picture(s) you want to post and I'll see if I can find the code for you.

Opening a photobucket account is quite easy though, and it's free.

Let me know if I you can't find the code and I'll look for you.

     Dear Pam and Stan,

Thank you for your replies.  Pam, I will take you up on  your offer to post the pics for me.  I tried to copy and paste, and I tried to find the code and I was unsuccessful with either.  I have been wanting to add my wedding pics since the beginning of thread post, so I will give in and be thrilled for you to post them for me, Pam.

    Thank you!

    Peace and love,

    Diane

    Re: How to Post Photos

Hopefully posting photos will be easier sometime soon.  I don't know why you couldn't do it following the directions but I'm glad you were able to get yours up anyway...
