Kokopelli Design: OK, Pam, I edited the sheep away, too. I wasn't sure.......sorry, if I sounded rude or something. Just a thought.....

?????? I haven't seen anybody being rude on BD, or anything similar.

Ignorance is curable; Stupidity has neither cure nor excuse.
And what does a sheep have to do with rudeness? Sheep are so lovely and woolly!
Or are you talking about a ram? (I know a Suffolk Blackface ram who can be quite rude)
Radegunde
Pam: If I wanted some wool though, it's just down the road walking around in the pastures down there on the backs of sheep and alpacas.
Walk the fewnced line, and pick it off the fences [esp. barbed wire]; it won't bother the sheep that way.
Radegunde-- ha ha! I can well imagine that ram can be QUITE rude... though I never would have thought of saying it like that. Gave me a good laugh this morning. Anyway, somehow I missed this post but have since "met" you on another thread... but here's a belated welcome (mistyped that as bleated at first! ) We're glad to have you joining us here.

Dagi, good, I'm glad you did. I guess I'm just a bit naive about some of these things, I didn't think of that at all.
Stan and Radegunde, nobody was being rude. Dagi was helping me. I put up a sheep smiley of questionable character. Also, thanks for the advice Stan, but since the fence is electric I don't think I'll do that. I'm sure if I want some wool they'll sell me some.
Lois, on a farm one doesn't tend to irritate or annoy the male animals unnecessarily. It's never a really good idea. Especially if there are female animals of the same species hanging around (which there usually are...) They have a way of getting a little sensitive about the subject of their "girls" and their status.
Pam, no smileys this time...

Pam-- don't I know it! you don't mess with the harem, or you get into real trouble. I've heard enough storys from my parents/grandparents about being chased out of pens to have more than a little respect for those animals!
Pam:Stan and Radegunde, nobody was being rude.
I didn't notice anybody BEING rude -- I better be the last to ever complain about that!
Pam:the fence is electric
Wear rubber gloves; and it's called 'creative gathering'. Same as picking up what falls of the fence.
Radegunde - Welcome! Don't worry about your written English. For those of us that it is our only language, we sometimes have issues as well! LOL! If there is something that is not understood, please post the question so that we can post it a different way. We will do the same. There are people from all over the world here and sometimes we have to do that. No big deal.
My dad knits however, I just can't keep the tension right. I know...I know...he says practice, practice, practice. I have practiced my little heart out and no help! I just did not get the knitting gene!
I hope that you can post some pictures of your knitting. I bet they are simply gorgeous!
Glad that you found us and hope that you come back often to visit!
Have a great day!
