He got about an inch or two strung to get his point across and told me I could keep beading all to myself.  At least he tried...

OK, so that's work sharing at its best! Smile

*laugh*  Yeah, I think the most frequent thing people say to me is, "I could never do that, I don't have the patience."  It kinda makes me laugh 'cause I don't have the patience either...I just love it...so I MAKE the patience.  Geeked

Second after the patience quote is: "What do you do if spill those tiny beads?" or "How often did you spill those tiny beads?"

I have a lot of patience (in most cases), but sometimes even I wonder that I didn't go nuts during a project, especially when working with seedbeads. Did you ever count the beads in a woven project? Don't do it or you start giggling histerically afterwards! Wink

LOL...and the answer to "What do you do if you spill those tiny beads?"  is...Pick them all up and if needed sort them back out into seperate colors.  Yeah, I think we are nuts.  lol!!!

No joke Dagmar!  I think Kelly has a point:  if you enjoy something, it's easier to have the patience for it vs. something you're not into.  You couldn't pay me to do hand quilting, but my mom loves it.  She won't touch beads other than to wear what I make her though.

Jeni, it's the same with my mom and me. She is a fabulous knitter and can sew almost everything and I am more in beadwork and embroidery. We are both able to do the other things, but we are not into it. I learnt to knit socks and can do some quilting and patchwork and she embroidered some beautiful tablecloths, but it is no addiction like beading for me and knitting for her. And if you love doing something, you don't need to have patience. It is just inside of you.

We? Nuts? Of course we are! *laughz*

Oh, I forgot! Beads are packed, sealed and mailed. Maybe you get them this week or at the beginning of next week.

Good deal-so I need to look for yours and Inca's both.  That might actually feel like work for my postman-the only mail we get here is either things from you two or bills for the landlords. ;)

    Re: Challenge Swap #2

Yep, thats exactly my point, JSmaz!  Some of us learn our patience by loving what we work on.  I don't have kids but I feel like maybe you can compare it there too.  Sometimes you just don't have the patience for their antics but you deal with it because you love them and patience grows from that.

My mom is the same way, she is a BIG knitter.  She has closets...yes, CLOSETS of yarn.  I am always getting after her about all the storage in the house having yarn in them and she says that her hobby just happens to take up more space than my many little beads.  LOL...we both have a guilty passion for our hobbies.  Drinks

Jeni, I mailed the package to you this morning...thumbs together that it gets there soon!!!

I love those seed bead comment quotes...funny!!!  Another one I like is "You can see those???" or "How can you see those!!!" and "Doesn't that take a long time?"

AH!  PAM!  Thats hilarious!  Oh yeah and "How do you do that?"  -- that one just annoys me...'cause, first of all, they don't REALLY want to know HOW I did that and number two, 'cause how in the world do you answer that question if they really don't want to know how you do it.  LOL...rediculous!!  No
