    Re: Seed Bead Cuff

There's no magic or secret.    Make sure you are using "bracelet" size memory wire.  Each wire is connected separately to a 20 gauge wire(you can use a head pin, just snip off the end and loop) with a bead between each wire.  They are not connected to each other, they're connected from end to end.  Using different size beads will make it more difficult and I would not recommend that for beginners.  Use all the same size beads.  Check out the post titled, "Here I Go Again"  Not only are the beads different sizes, they're irregular.   Very difficult.  You almost have to me a mathematician to get it right.  I hope this helps.  jeannieBig Smile

Great!  Thanks so much for your help.  I'll just practice, practice, practice until I get it right.  You are so sweet to help out.  As for being a mathematician, that would completely boggle my brain, and I do accounting for a living.  But can't do without my calculator.  Again, I really appreciate your advice and encouragement.

    Re: Seed Bead Cuff

I just found this thread, and I'm wondering if anyone could offer advice on making something like the seed bead cuff - I've been commisioned to make bracelets like this for 3 bridesmaids, but I'm not sure what the structure for the base should be - here's the link:  http://www.whiteaisle.com/pearl_garland_bracelet.htm.  I think it should be memory wire with seed beads on it, but I can't see how it's finished on the back side and I'm not sure what to do to keep the strands crossed like this.  Any thoughts?? Thanks!

Hi Tanya,  I made this with bracelet memory wire.  Getting and keeping the strands crossed is tricky...no hard.  Just make sure you attach all the wire to one side first and work from there.  Good Luck jeannie  I have a lot more information peppered thoughout this thread.

Maybe, it would be easier if you used a Mandrel to keep the "Memory Wire" in place. SomeDay, I would like to try that. When I grow up of courseConfused   Lots of Luck!

    Jeannie,

I love the cuff bracelet. It is so pretty. I found one in a department store the other day while I was shopping around. It gave me a chance to see one up close. It is very cute and I am sure it wasn't the easiest using memory wire for I know how hard it is to curl the ends of that stuff, and how hard it is to get all those wire doing what you want when you want to do it. Stick out tongue

Anyway I think I will try to make one for myself. Wish me luck with that crazy wire stuff.Confused
