    Newest Bracelet

I tried a new way of doing a bracelet a week or so again. It was not really pretty but it was the beads I had on hand. So here is the newest version:

This is leopardskin jasper. This one is really comfortable. I think the small tube beads make it roll on your wrist really easily. Anyway...This is the lastest so I thought I would share!

Oh Sheila it looks great! The beads fit so perfectly and I love all the earthy tones of it! I love the combo of the tubes, rounds and rice shapes, it just works so well.

    Great job!

I love those beads! Great colors and just enough silver. What kind of clasp did you use?

Thank you so much for all your kind words! Charlene, this is actually a stretch bracelet so there is no clasps. Charlene, if you need specific instructions let me know but the round and tube beads are strung on an eye pin separated by daisy spacers and a loop made on the other end. The on the stretch cord, I string the loop from the eye pen and then a little bead, then the next eye pen etc. I find it easier to work both strands of the elastic cord at once so the sides are even. My thought was that the eye pen would serve as the spacer between the beads on the stretch cord.

This one does require a lot more time that my normal strung bracelets, but I did enjoy making this. This one probably took me 2 hours but I was not working on it solid. I had to stop and start several times and then actually finished the next day. So 2 hours is a rough estimate. I know that once I get the exact plan down for each bracelet, I could get it to 1 hour or under of un-intereupted time. Oh wait...what is un-interupted time again?

LOL! ( Sorry I was up late helping my nephew with a project and just now calling it a night. 5:30 am is going to come really soon. Sorry if I am not making sense just now... )

Sheila, that is great! Thanks for posting it. That was the bracelet from the other post, where you thought about doing it with eye pins instead of safety pins. Works really good. And the leopardskin jasper is gorgeous!

I think it's very pretty and well done.  I love jasper because of all the variety.  Thanks for sharing.

Awesome Sheila, I love it!  Leopard jasper is a gorgeous stone.  I've been pondering doing a bracelet like that since I read your other post but haven't had time to try it yet.

Pam - You and anyone else is more than welcome to "copy" it. I don't mind, that is why I posted it. But I appreciate your asking.  Even with you using leopardskin jasper, it will still look different. If you need anything from me about instructions, just let me know. I will be happy to post instructions is anyone needs them.

I am going to order some more beads and do some different combinations. If you need a bead count let me know. It took more than I thought! LOL!

Thanks again for the wonderful words!

    Re: Newest Bracelet

Well Sheila, it sounds like your design is a HIT! Maybe you should submit it to Stringing!  You never know, and they have the email a photo option now to help everyone get fast feedback about if its worth sending!

And I'm like you, I don't post a design I'm not willing to share, but it IS nice to be asked about copying it! Pat emailed me to ask if she could copy one of my bridal designs and what size  crystal I used. I think it's the BEST compliment you can get!

Melinda - I will definitely post some specific instructions. I am at work but I am off tomorrow so it will probably be tomorrow. I hope that is okay?

Lois - That is a great idea! I wondered about submitting it for something. I will really have to think about that! And yes I agree, that people wanting to try it is the best of compliments!

Tomorrow will be fine... school isn't out in Juneau AK & Holland MI for almost 2 more weeks so that will give me plenty of time to gather up everything before I get a full houseCool

    Thank you very much
