Yes, I already created a bracelet and would love to send it in before I leave for vacation. Otherwise it wouldn't be possible for me to participate. [:'(]

I know that the deadline is June 20, but I don't think that any arrangement has been set up yet, for the pictures/display of each entry. You girls are quick!!!!

 Hi everyone,

just wanted to share this beauty with you. This rose is from a very old rosebud growing in my parents' garden. I love the color and smell of it. Hope you're all inspired and I'm looking forward to the entries!

Mmmmm..... I love roses. I have a VERY old rosebush here at my house that is FULL of bright pink roses. Now quite as pretty as this one though.

I'm almost done with my flower project!

We had a lovely yellow rose bush on OK that I really miss.  Here we just have a tiny bush of tea roses that struggles to survive next to a holly bush.  Someday I'm going to have a house with roses & iris out the wazoo!

As for the challenge, I have my materials laid out and an idea percolating but I haven't started it yet.  I had to do some creative gluing after young Mr. Man decided to grab a handful of stuff off the table the other day.  I believe I have salvaged the broken beads, but I won't be selling this piece for sure.  He ALMOST found out what a spanking was!

Well, I THINK I just finished my flower challenge piece! I'm going to have to let it sit for a few days, wear it around, see what happens and all that. Turned out different from how I originally designed it, but isn't that always the way? The finished product is more the FEEL I was going for.

ANd Lita-- those pieces I picked up at the store worked JUST the way I wanted them to!

Confused Um, could you refresh my memory? Where do the photos go when the piece is complete?

Aw, ya'll are making me homesick for the mainland!!! [:'(]  I had a small rose garden in our yard in South Carolina.  And I chose my roses particularly for their fragrance.  I miss that fragrance!  And none of the fake rose scents come even close, do they?  Only the real thing works for me. <sigh>  Dagmar, that rose is gorgeous!  I can almost smell it half a world away!  Is it a dark pink rose (my favorite) or more red?

I'm very impressed (and very jealous!) to see that some of you have finished your flower-inspired designs.  Yay!!!  I've been remiss (and I'll apologize for that) in finalizing with Michelle the arrangements for e-mailing entries.  She has an e-mail address set up for us to use -- let me contact her and verify that we can still use it.  Meanwhile, I'll post an update of the guidelines tonight that I hope includes the preferences of a majority of participants.

Since my son's graduation and related festivities have taken up so much of my time this past month, I'm really late in posting the guidelines for this challenge.  If that means that anyone needs more time, please let me know.  I can't believe our deadline is only 8 days away! Surprise  I guess I need to get busy finishing my own design for the challenge!!!

Have a beadiful day!

Lynn, that's fabulous!  Welcome to the fun!  (You'll notice I didn't bother with quoting your "I think" -- I'm thinking positively! Wink )  I'll check my e-mail for your message.

Is there anyone for whom it would be a problem if I pushed out our due date a bit?  Say, a few weeks, til maybe the middle of July?  If you're concerned that you'll be on vacation (or something like that) and won't be able to e-mail your entry, then you can e-mail your photo(s) to me, and I'll forward it/them on to the official e-mail address once it's set up.

I've been working on the Challenge guidelines, almost ready to post them, but it's nearing midnight and my eyes are crossing.  Will take another look at them tomorrow when I'm conscious before posting.

I went walking with my daughter earlier this evening (gorgeous sunset, btw) and noticed some unusual little white flowers growing along the shore.  They look like only 1/2 of a flower, like you pulled off some of the petals.  I'll try to take some photos tomorrow so I can show you.  Funny, I've lived here a total of almost 15 years, and never noticed the shape of those little "fan" flowers before...

Have a beadiful day!

Sounds good to me cause I haven't touched anything for it lately.
