Nice! And I love those big beads on the ends. That had to take a good chunk of time, no?

Ingrid, I like the colors very much, fresh and springy looking. I would imagine a very fun piece to wear. Good work. Donna

Ingrid: the green beads are making me think of the apples in the garden of Eden! (hee hee!)

Nice work. I can easily see this paired with a long skirt and tank. :-)

Somehow I missed this post.

I love this necklace. Very nice! Is this what you call a lariat?

Greetings from Karin.

Such a long necklace with so many big or small beads! You arranged the beads in a perfect and peaceful way, thought you are sensitive to colors!! Appreciate it very much! Big Smile

Thank you all for your kind words.

Yeah, I wanted to make a piece for spring, an optimistic one! Wink

And this apple green is to me a very positive and energetic color. Randomly placed big beads.

Hi ingrid, It indeed suits the Pantone color for 2013, target the right point! Loving the sense of spring anyway, everything is so vivid and optimistic!

I love your lariat, Ingrid! They are flattering for most people, and feel lovely to wear. How did you make it? A long strand of beads then added others to them? It must have taken you some time!

Thank you very much. I must say that this piece worked up quite fast. I used a stitch that I found in a book by Beth Stone, I think she calls it tri-stitch. The beads that I used for this is my usual bead soup, but I threw in quite a handfull of apple green 6/o`s. I think it added freshness, but it is still very random,- gives it a sort of laidback look.

Thanks so much for nice comments, everyone. Big SmileBig SmileBig Smile

A beautiful stitch! And the colour combination came out quite unusual but lovely and fresh!
