Waves of Pearls in Dec 07 / Jan 08 issue

Where can I find out if there were any corrections in the directions for the Waves of Pearls design in this issue?  I tried making it last night, but the directions call for all 11°, but just looking at it, it seems that they did use some 6° or 8° beads also.  Thanks for any advice.

 Hi Brys - I've struggled with this one too - I can't make out the instructions regarding the 'top' part of the wave - ie. which bead to come out of to start the next part of the wave. However, I think that all the beads are size 11 - either Delicas (3 shades of purple) or round seed beads (the cream ones) plus some size 15 round seed beads used to finish the bezels around the pearls.

As regards any corrections - to find them, all you need to do (if there are any!) is to click on the MAGAZINES tab in the blue header at the top of the page, then on the BEADWORK magazine picture. This will open a new window, which has a CORRECTIONS tab on a menu on the left hand side of the page (if that makes sense?) ... but I don't think there are any corrections posted for this particular piece.

Now, if any one has made this piece and would like to share their know-how .....

I tried making Waves of Pearls, and became confused by the intructions for row 9 in the outer strip:

"string 1B and turn work without passing through an A in the bezel."

I wonder if anyone else has any luck doing that?

It's a beautiful design and I had gotten pretty far along and would like to continue!

Hi Sarah, I am struggling with the instructions on Waves of Pearls also.  I am stucked on outer strip row 4 instructions re: string 1 B and pass through the last B in the previous row.  This leads to showing of the thread.  When I compare Figures 6 and 7, On Figure 7, row 4 does not show string 1B before passing through the last B in the previous row.  I would appreciate it if you would share your tips.

That's exactly where I'm stuck, too. Did you figure it out? I also sent an e-mail to the editors and am hoping to hear back from them.

 I believe I am also stuck in the same spot (i.e. where to start the "inner strip"). If anybody has worked this out, please post, it'd be much appreciated!

I can't figure it out from the pics, and I don't understand what they mean when they say "anchoring the last row of beads in the inner peyote strip" because the step is supposed to be where you start the inner strip. The drawings are great, but it'd be easier if there were more of them.
