Hmmm, I'm not sure... I am a bit attached to my paper copies, dogeared though they rapidly become... it would be nice not to have to wait so long for the latest issues to become available here in the UK though!

    Re: Interested in digital magazines?

I don't think a purely digital magazine would make it... we're far to tactile for that to work I think. I would like to be able to buy the magazines in CD or DVD form to keep an archive of the work, but the images in it would HAVE to be high quality. My attitude with the beading magazines is "if I can't see the project REALLY WELL, I'm not interested" because I don't follow the step-by-step projects, I like to see how a specific aspect was done, then use it all for inspiration. Well, there's an idea, perhaps a digital "inspiration" magazine would be better... just a random thought.

I would especially like it if the digital version were less expensive, so I could buy more different magazines digitally, and still get the hard copy of my favorite ones.

I was subscribed to an electronis magazine that is now on-line.  I can download and save it on my computer. The schematics are still clear.  I can print out whatever I want from it.

I can have a hard copy, without ads !!  I can keep copies of what interests me on my computer without needing to scan it first, ALL illustrations are very clear, can be enlarged for viewing details.  BUT, I still miss the old magazine !

It is cheaper to publish, and it takes less archival space than would a set of CDs/DVDs.

    Re: Interested in digital magazines?

I believe it comes down to what we are used to, regarding digital publications. I like the convenience and ecological wisdom of digital media, no storage or recycling issues...as well as the economics of postage. Yet, like Stan, I  frequently print pages and always cut out what I like best from print magazines, to have stuff up on my inspiration board. (My husband often calls me the Guttenburg!)

If only computers could mimic the smell of ink on pages, ey? Maybe a scratch and sniff CD case...!

Hi! As professional associates of Beadalon, we are quite familiar with these tutorials. Are they your creation? They're nicely animated!
