I just signed up to the site and wanted to say a quick hello & shalom.

I love to bead mainly stringing, and some wire working. I do both religious and non-religious  themed work. I would have to say that it is all G*d's work as I was created with an artists heart. I love to work with beads the colors, the textures, the pieces of G*d's creations of stone, pearl, wood, glass (from sand) are wondrous and unique in and of themselves.

I bead for several non-profits I feel closest too. In fact I love to donate to our big fundraiser each year. They have a limited number of artisans, and business that get the opportunity to donate and I am one of them. Each year my pieces have gotten more sophisticated as my beadwork has grown.

This last year an elderly member or our community who was an artist gave several small loom weavings and many ceramic pendants to our Classy Junque and Rummage sale. I bought a tremendous number of pendants to work with. I ended up keeping quite a few for me but have used many others for charity work. She was over 90 years old and very excited that her pieces were not only a hit at the sale but that they were reworked and gifted for the fundraising event of the year. I gave her credit for the focal piece at the event. Many of her friends called to tell her how nice the piece was.

Shalom! I'm Becca. I'm 13, so school sometimes gets in the way of beading. But I'm taking advantage of summer as best I can!
