Glass Bead Love Affair
 |
Long-time members of Beading Daily know that I love glass beads. (Remember how I struggled to showcase the boro drops in the Celestial Sparkle
necklace?) I'm now at the point where when I go to a bead show, I save
the booths with glass beads for last, in part so I can savor the
experience, but also so that I don't blow my entire beading budget on
glass beads! So when I saw Stephanie Sersich's new book, Designing Jewelry with Glass Beads,
I knew immediately that I wanted to host a special design challenge
centered all around glass.--Michelle Mach, Beading Daily Editor

Stephanie covers a range of glass beads in her book and all
types are fair game for this challenge. This includes (but is not
limited to): blown-glass beads, drawn or furnance beads (chevrons, seed
beads), wound glass beads (lampworked, mosaic, murrini beads), pressed
beads, cast- or powdered-glass beads, crystals or cut beads, and
contemporary art glass beads.
