Stringing Magazine Challenge

Are you ready to take on The Stringing Challenge?

Simply email us a photograph of your best strung work for a chance to participate in The Stringing Challenge.

The photograph submitted is meant to give us a sense of your style, craftsmanship, and breadth of technique. The editors of Jewelry Stringing will choose one designer and mail the winner one of our upcoming Stringing Challenge kits. If chosen, you will have about three weeks to complete your project before it is published in an upcoming issue.

Remember this chance to win is open to all, so don’t be dissuaded if your designs have never been published before.

How to enter
Email a JPEG or TIFF (about 1MB) of your best strung work to stringing@interweave.com. Please aim for your photograph to be 300 dpi at 3″ x 5.” White backgrounds are often best when photographing jewelry. For more tips on photographing your work, visit beadingdaily.com/blogs/howto/archive/2008/06/30/3-steps-to-better-beadwork-photos.aspx.

Rules
One entry per person, please (so send us your best photograph!). Submissions should be of the type you would see in Jewelry Stringing magazine—in other words, projects created using stringing, crimping, basic wireworking (simple loops, wrapped loops, jump rings), and basic knotting techniques.

Be sure to include your complete contact information—name, address, phone number, and email address—in the body of your email.

Due to the volume of entries, we kindly ask that you please do not contact us to see who won—you will be contacted if chosen and the winner’s work will be featured in an upcoming issue of Jewelry Stringing.

Due to international shipping costs and other factors, The Stringing Challenge is limited to residents of the United States and Canada.

General rules
Winners will be chosen by the editors of Jewelry Stringing; all decisions of the editors shall be made at their sole and absolute discretion and will be final. The entrant guarantees the work is original and that he/she is the sole creator of the work. By entering, entrant is assuring Interweave/F+W that entrant possesses the right to submit all entry materials for use by Interweave/F+W as described in these contest rules without the consent or approval of any third party, and Interweave/F+W is entitled to rely on entrant’s right to do so.

By submitting a photo of your design to The Stringing Challenge, you agree that Jewelry Stringing and Interweave/F+W can publish and reuse photographs of your Work in our print and digital publications, marketing and advertising, as well as outlets that may be utilized and/or invented in the future if you are chosen as one of the Reader Participants.
