Are you ready to take on the Beadwork Challenge?
Simply e-mail us a photograph of your best beaded work for a chance to participate in The Challenge.
The photograph submitted is meant to give us a sense of your style, craftsmanship, and breadth of technique. The editors of Beadwork will choose one designer and mail the winner one of our upcoming Challenge kits. If chosen, you will have about three weeks to complete your project before it is published in an upcoming issue.
Remember this chance to win is open to all so don’t be dissuaded if your designs have never been published before. And if you aren’t picked this time around, you are encouraged to resubmit your work in future calls for entry.
How to enter E-mail a JPEG or TIFF (about 1MB) of your best beaded work to beadworkchallenge@interweave.com. Please aim for your photograph to be 300 dpi at 3" x 5." White backgrounds are often best when photographing beaded jewelry. For more tips on photographing your work, visit beadingdaily.com/blogs/howto/archive/2008/06/30/3-steps-to-better-beadwork-photos.aspx.
Rules One entry per person, please (so send us your best photograph!). Submissions should be of the type you would see in Beadwork magazine—in other words, projects created using beadweaving techniques (such as netting; peyote, brick, right-angle weave, and square stitches; bead embroidery; etc.), stringing, crimping, wireworking (simple loops, wrapped loops, jump rings), and knotting techniques.
Be sure to include your complete contact information—name, address, phone number, and e-mail address—in the body of your e-mail.
Due to the volume of entries, we kindly ask that you please do not contact us to see who won—you will be contacted if chosen and the winner’s work will be featured in an upcoming issue of Beadwork.
Due to international shipping costs and other factors, this Challenge is limited to residents of the United States and Canada.
General rules Winners will be chosen by the editors of Beadwork; all decisions of the editors shall be made at their sole and absolute discretion and will be final. The entrant guarantees the work is original and that he/she is the sole creator of the work. By entering, entrant is assuring Interweave that entrant possesses the right to submit all entry materials for use by Interweave as described in these contest rules without the consent or approval of any third party, and Interweave is entitled to rely on entrant’s right to do so.
