Download Crystal Corona Earrings

Combine 4mm crystal bicones and size 11 or 15 seed beads to create these sassy earrings.  Instructions for a matching pendant may be found in the May/June 2009 issue of Step by Step Beads.

Beautiful, and everyone here seems to say it's easy.....so WHY is it rated only 2 1/2 stars out of 5? That said -- I can't wait to make these! My favorites!!!! Seed beads & Swarovski!! I'm going to have a heart attack. Looks like there are all sorts of ways to expand and/or alter the basic pattern, too, and I love to encrust stuff with even more stuff! Stuff and more stuff! Basic beauty with room for exploration and play!

Neat! I observe that while the orange example earring pair at the top of the PDF has the bail at the top of a 'V' of seedbeads, the instructions have the bail being placed above two vertically stacked crystals. That is, the illustrations show the bail placed directly above cystals 2 and 51; and the orange earrings have bails placed between crystals 44 and 51. The pendants at the bottom of the PDF show both placements. Though the variation is small, I think the two have very different effects, which are particularly enhanced when the seedbeads are of a contrasting colour. Thanks!

I am so happy that I found this pattern. I had made similar to the corona but never finished it as I had taken a class and they didnt give patterns. So now I can finish the ones I made and can continue to make more in different colors. Thanks so much for the pattern.

I recently made beaucoup puffy heart necklaces for myself and family. What a neat way to use up my leftover bicones, of which I have many. Can't wait to start!

I just made these with ruby crystals and white seed beads. They look great! Almost reminds me of a striped lifesaver candy. They are certainly easy. I am going to try a bracelet next joining the circles together!

I just made these using a deep red crystal with black seed beads and they're gorgeous! I can't wait to wear them!

I tried making a pair of these using the size 11 seed beads and then I made a pair using size 15. I think the 15's work better. Did anyone else find this also? I am new to the beading world, but this is an easy pattern. I think there great.

I have make these earrings with green bicones and green lined roccailles ,but no bail one top insted I hang them with a kallotte one a hook.And also I used real fine copper wirè.
