"re:Stud Earrings where do you purchase "Liver-of-Sulfur:? Thank you for the great idea! phiniki" I know you can order it but I've also heard you can just put your project in a plastic zip type bag with a boiled egg yolk. Supposedly it takes longer but eggs are easy to find. I love these. I expect to be making several, they should be great gifts!

I love these earrings! But the file cannot be opened. The error message says that the file is damaged or not correctly decoded.

I'm in the same boat~~I'm unable to download the file because it says the file is damaged. For those of you who were wondering about where to purchase Liver of Sulfur, I purchased mine from "Cool Tools". They seemed to have a better price than most web sellers. Go to http://www.cooltools.us. Good luck!

Hey Everyone! I'm writing again to let you know that I just recently opened the file by telling it to "Open in a different window". It's one of the choices that is given to you when you click to download the file. Try it ~~ it worked for me. Thanks!

I believe you need to be "signed in" to download the file. Before I signed in, I got the error messages. After I signed in, the file was readily available. Good luck!

They look really good, I can't wait to try them. I just had a thought, I wonder if you could add a coloured bead to the centre by placing it on a headpin or in the centre of a thin gauge wire and wrapping both ends round the centre.

To all those questions about LIVER of SULFUR, the boiled egg DOES work. It's also cheaper! Just boil an egg,(or boil a bunch for egg salad and keep one out!). Peel the shell off, cut in half, place in plastic bag. Place your silver item in and seal. It doesn't take too long for the silver to turn black. I've used this method several times.

Thanks a bunch for the detailed information about using an egg in place of the liver of sulfur.

Thanks for this project. Would love to embellish with beads. You mention making a loop at the bottom, but havent been able to create a good looking loop as I curve the wire around - I think the wire is too thick to create small loop....so, I'll try stringing a jump ring or a chain on the wire and use that to dangle beads. Any ideas on how to keep the ring\chain from moving around the spiral?

Hi, I will make a pair with a loop at bottom and photograph it and put on my website. I will try and have an image posted by Monday:) Thanks Jeanette Blix
