Download Netted Diamonds

This traditional Ukrainian beadweaving collar from Step by Step Beads works up quickly because you string several beads at one time.  The illlustrations show one full cycle of a pattern, which you can repeat until your collar reaches the desired length.  This project will be free to Beading Daily readers until October 17 at 5 p.m. Mountain Time.

Hmmmm I'm thinking just a few repeats would make a stunning glass Christmas ornament cover.It's even the right color combination. I was given a Ukrainian easter egg and loved the patterns on it and this makes me think I could adapt the pattern on that in beaded netting.

Couldn't wait to make this up!  I used Fair Isle colours of dark green matt, cream matt and ruby transparent rainbow beads instead of red, gold and blue respectively - it has worked out beautifully and I am thinking of using it as a collar on a cream jacket.
