This gold and silver necklace was inspired by Stephanie Everett’s tutorial of the two-toned parallel chain bracelet. A customer of mine bought the bracelet, and asked for a necklace to match.  This project is from Step by Step Wire Jewelry.  This project will be free for a limited time.

Since you have changed to AOL I can no longer get the instructions for your free projects.  It downloads, but I cannot access it at all. AOL will not let me in, nor willit allow me to download Adobe reader. I just have dial up but missall the new projects now.....Janice @ cmpnnpp@Yahoo

I have very recently become a chain maille nut!!  I love all things chain maille.  I've made several different things that have turned out beautifully.  Can't wait to try this one and see how it goes.  I will probably not put it on the leather cord though.  I will probably put it on a simple European 6 in 1 chain or something similar.

Hi,

I made this project and it turned out great! Thanks for detailed instructions, this was my first attempt at chain maille and it was easy!

One question: How do I finish the cord? I couldn't tell if there was a clasp and there weren't any clear instructions for how to finish the cord.

I made this necklace but I used red and green wire for Christmas. It turned out georgeous. I am going to try to find orange and brown for the fall.

I love this design. I made it shortly after it was published. It was easy to make. I embelished it a little by adding a small gold cross charm to the point. I have gotten numerous compliments. Thank you for the free project!

This will be my first attempt at chain maille I am 3 months into off loom beading and bout 3 weeks into wire work. I love the idea of making everything, and that it can look so precious. A couple of the previous comments where using 2 bright colours for the links and adding a charm/amulet at the point of the V gives me good ideas.3-4 years ago I taught myself how to crochet from books and the net which led me to firstly beads and then wire crochet jewellery. I am looking forward to see where the next 3 years of,wire,bead,fibre working designing leads me. Without these wonderful websites with masses of free and the most part easy to acces and unserstand information.

This is the necklace I've been looking for so long. I have a simple black dress with a low neckline. The dress is a plain Jane and I needed something to add a little complexity to it. This necklace is awesome and perfect. I think it could be worn with anything from dressy to jeans. I can't wait to get my rings and an afternoon to play in maille. Thank you whoever designed this wonderful necklace. I like the idea of adding a small celtic cross to the end of it. It's perfect! Karen
