This project from Step by Step Beads magazine assumes an advanced understanding of Precious Metal Clay (PMC). Use an oval, sea-smoothed stone as an armature for draping and supporting a sheet of textured PMC3. By draping a richly textured PMC3 sheet on each side of the stone, then joining the resulting domed forms, the bead will conform to the shape of the stone used, creating a hollow form. This 9-page project is a large file (2.8 MB) and may take awhile to download.

Gorgeous results!  I'd been thinking of making more organic hollow beads and was thrilled to find this very clear and detailed tutorial.  The process seems lengthly (as does the list of needed tools/equipment)  but the investment of time and effort produces extraordinary results -- that special/unique silver bead that everyone notices and wants to know where you got it.  BIG price on this baby!  Thanks so much for sharing this!!!  Hope to find more of your projects/tutorials.
