This dreamy necklace of sparkling teardrops, crystals, and silver was inspired by a very practical dilemma: if you can only afford a single strand of beautiful borosilicate glass beads, what should you do with them? Wear the large silver clasp in front, or anywhere you like! This easy beaded necklace project was created by the editor of Beading Daily.

Please tell me about the borosilicate glass beads.  This is the first I have heard of them.  Beautiful necklace.  Thanks for sharing.

I'm not a glass beadmaker, so I can't give you a detailed technical explanation.  I did find this description by Vortex Glassworks online:

" Borosilicate or boro glass was introduced by Corning Glass Works in 1912 as "Pyrex". Originally developed for making scientific apparatus, boro glass is more chemical and thermal shock resistant than traditional soda lime or lead based glass. Boro glass is worked at very high temperatures and can be manipulated into forms that would exceed the abilities of most other glass."

Here's where I got those beads, if you just want to look at pretty pictures!  shop.sonoranbeads.com/.../24.htm
