Heather poured her heart and soul into this peyote-stitched amulet bag as a way to help her cope with an illness that necessitated a hysterectomy. On one side of the beaded bag is a woman with her arms outstretched to the universe, asking and receiving healing. On the other side are Native American symbols that Heather hoped would serve as a bridge to the divine. Within the bag are mementos of family and friends, constant reminders of the loved ones who helped her through her troubled times.

Wow. This is incredibly beautiful. I just decided that I MUST learn to do a peyote stitch just so I can make this one day--it is that beautiful. I can't believe someone made this with beadwork. Thank you for sharing--I can't wait to make it.

like this project for a scrapbooking trinket-pouch, but not so much as "jewelry". Cool idea though.
