We all know these colors and have probably used them in one combination or another, but I for one tend to "couple" colors and just throw a third color in a neutral when I need one. Your article has really inspired me to try three or four colors together, design permitting, and if I wimp out I'll throw in that rich brown or dark gray. Your examples will also make it easier for me to pick out a new blouse or sweater to compliment a new creation. Does anybody else build their wardrobe around their accessories?

I love them and they frustrate me.

I check on the pantone colors quite alot. It keeps colors in my mind.

I don't think of it as being dictated too, but it helps me understand how all the couture fashion houses seem to create or feature the same colors at the start of a new season.

It make sense to me that these designers also get frustrated by colors.

Why else would the be creating a sort of governing body for color predictions?

It also helps them to decide about accessories. Then

that market is aware of new color and then jewelers are affected and that market gets affected....and the wheel goes around.

I use the color charts to open my eyes to what is coming. Plus I like reading the many different ways they can make up names to say...

grey-gunpowder, Sea Squal, Summer Fog and Turbulence. Or red-Wanted, Samba. Or taupe- Aged Redwood, Gentle Lace, Parosol, Pearlea, Debutante, Timeless.

Ha, ha, ha:)) If you don't have the chart right in front of you, you really don't know what the h___ they are talking about and it is very funny to me.

Take it with a grain of salt and have fun.

Now-frustration-I am relieved to try new colors that just might work for me.....I have a drawer of colored pieces that seemed so good in my mind and....well they are in the drawer.

So I too need help with colors and I will try all different sources to help me along! AND follow my muse.....
