Build Your Own Lookbook

Jul 17, 2013

I'm sure you've seen any number of lookbooks online--you know, collections pulled together by individuals or shops, showcasing favorite clothing or jewelry. Pinterest serves the same function. Who among us hasn't gotten lost for hours pinning their favorite shoes and outfits, crafts and recipes?

Nissa Jewelry's lookbooks showcase their varied jewelry lines.

Vogue has a fun build-your-own-lookbook feature on their web site, where you are able to select a compilation based on criteria such as Accessories, Designers, Fabrics, Style, and Motif. Within each category, there are even more options, such as different styles, types, and colors, for literally thousands of possible combinations.

Style.com has a similar tool where you can view lookbooks created by other users, or create your own by adding photos from any of the galleries on the Style.com site.

I love having a variety of options when it comes to collecting the trending fashion ideas! How do you collect inspirational photos? Are you strictly an online collector, or more of a cut-and-paste scrapbooker? Either way, have fun pinning and collecting your favorites!

I used to cut and paste, but it just wound up creating far too much clutter in my home.  Since the advent of Pinterest, I find it's a bit easier when I'm noodling about on the Net to snag things I like and "pin" them up in one central place to refer back to and enjoy.
