Gold, Silver, and Bronze Beading Supplies

Aug 1, 2012

I've got Olympics on the brain. Right now, I'm watching "The Fab Five" win the women's all-around gymnastics competition. Michael Phelps just became the most decorated Olympian ever with 19 metals. This is good stuff. In honor of the Olympics, I've put together this brief list of fun products in the winning colors: gold, silver, and bronze.

GOLD: I've been using a lot of leather in my jewelry designs lately. And gold seems to be the color du jour. This gold metallic cord is available at FusionBeads.com.

SILVER: I love all the geometric forms--circles, triangles, squares--showing up in jewelry components lately. This sterling silver circle pendant is from Nina Designs.

BRONZE: Now more popular than ever--especially with the rise in price of gold and silver--bronze beads have a lovely deep brown color. This bronze howling-wolf pendant by Green Girl Studios is from Lima Beads.

What's your favorite metal to design with?

Back to the Olympics . . . Danielle

Hi Danielle,

I also am the head with the Olympics.

But as I am in Brazil we have confidence in female volleyball team.

I like brass and copper, I'll try casting a pendant with bee wax in gypsum.

Good luck and congratulations for the posts.

A hug straight from Brazil.

Carlos.
