French Wire

French wire (a.k.a. bullion or gimp) is a fine coil of wire that protects the connecting loop of beading cord or wire where it attaches to a finding.  To use, string a bead or crimp tube, a small length of French wire, and the finding; pass back through the bead or tube and pull snug; tie a knot or crimp the tube to secure.
